Eibon

Voiced by Yasuyuki Kase, Eibon is a figure of immense renown in the world of *Soul Eater*.

He is the brilliant mind behind incredible Magic Tools like the "Perpetual Motion Machine" and the dangerous artifact known as "BREW."

All of his knowledge and designs are compiled within a grimoire called the "Book of Eibon."

There are rumors that he also had a hand in creating Demon Weapons with Excalibur's help.

However, he vehemently denies this, likely because he couldn't stand Excalibur's obnoxious personality.

The Great Old One

Eibon was once a member of Lord Death's elite "Eight Reaper Legions."

Among them, he was known by the prestigious title of the "Great Old One of Knowledge."

Like the other members of the Legions, it's believed he was born during the era depicted in *Fire Force*.

An Alliance for Peace and a Tragic Mistake

In the anime, Eibon's original goal was to bring about world peace through the development of his Magic Tools.

However, he was swayed by the temptations of the witch Arachne Gorgon.

By integrating their research, the two created the powerful and dangerous Magic Tool, "BREW."

A Soul's Atonement

Deeply regretting his actions, Eibon sought to make amends for the creation of BREW.

He forged a special Magic Tool, also named "Eibon," to serve as the key to sealing BREW away.

He then placed his own soul within this key, entrusting the fate of the world to Lord Death.

A mysterious sorcerer known as Noah has appeared in the world, falsely claiming to be Eibon.
