He has a frail constitution and often coughs up blood or faints. Since childhood, he has had little magic power and is shunned by his relatives. He gets along well with Iruma, who has no magic power at all, leading Iruma and his friends to join the Magic Tools Research Battalion. He wears a necklace that stores magic power around his neck (which he broke to release magic power during an incident, but after the music festival, he wears one in the shape of a ring like Iruma's). His true nature is that of a mad thinker who has returned to his original form, and he gets excited by seeing others in despair.

In his childhood, there was a girl named Nagi (voiced by Miku Sasaki) who spoke to him kindly, but both of them were bullied. One day, he felt excitement at the despairing expression on her face when a bully took something precious from her, realizing that he enjoyed others' despair.

He plotted to kill all the students and teachers at the school while Sullivan was away, but was stopped and arrested by Iruma and his friends who noticed the plan. He was then sent to Walter Park by his own will, where he acted with other demons to destroy the park. He was rescued by the Six Fingers, but abandoned his comrades because he wanted to see their despairing faces. After the Harvest Festival, he learned from information obtained by Ocho that Iruma is a human. He infiltrated Babyls during the music festival and reunited with Alice in the Magic Tools Research Battalion, but retreated when Alice realized his true nature.

During the "13th Day of Betrayal," he supported Baal's schemes to become a hero and interfered with Iruma's sniping, leading to a reunion with Iruma who noticed his presence. He revealed Baal's goals and that he knew Iruma's true identity, declaring that he would consume Iruma if he ever became lonely. He tried to tell Alice that Iruma is a human, but was interrupted by a call from Clara. Seeing Iruma regain his composure from Clara's words, he lost interest and left the scene.

His family magic is "Severance (Barrier)." It generates a transparent barrier that can block any attack. In his childhood, it would dissolve if he let his guard down.
