Birthday: October 4 / Height: 158 centimeters / Weight: 56 kilograms / Rank: Aleph (1) → He (5) / Division: Magic Tools Research Division / Familiar: Eggy-chan (Kalego Naberius)
The protagonist of the story. 14→15 years old. Refers to himself as "boku." His antennae are his trademark. A small-statured boy with androgynous looks, he is often mistaken for a girl when cross-dressing. Though he hails from the human world, he led a life full of troubles due to his selfish father (voiced by Genki Taiga) and mother (voiced by Yuka Maihara), far from the peace of an ordinary life. He grew up as an extreme people-pleaser who absolutely cannot refuse others' requests. To overcome troubles, he possesses extraordinary crisis avoidance abilities, survival skills, Aikido, a big appetite, and mechanical repair skills, maintaining a strong mental fortitude in any dire situation. He has infinite defense power but zero attack power. He is a big eater due to his "eat when you can" mentality, but he is not good at cooking, thinking that boiling or grilling is enough.
Wearing the Gluttonous Ring on his finger, his abilities are recognized as his own due to the magic it contains. He uses it when necessary for magic chanting but considers relying on this magic as cheating and refrains from using it unless needed. When he advanced to Gimel (3), the Gluttonous Ring gained a will of its own, and he named its embodiment "Ali-san," forming a partner-like relationship.
Initially confused by his new environment after being sold by his worthless parents, he wished to live quietly and inconspicuously to avoid being discovered as a human. However, at the entrance ceremony of the demon school he entered as a special student, he was suddenly made to give a speech as the freshman representative, unknowingly chanting a forbidden spell on stage, causing a commotion. Furthermore, he accidentally defeated Alice, who challenged him to a duel out of jealousy, making him famous overnight. Despite his efforts to avoid and solve problems, his notoriety only increased.
During the first rank measurement, he was deemed unmeasurable and ranked Aleph (1) due to his familiar being a teacher and causing problems during the flight test. Though he initially had little desire to raise his rank due to not wanting to stand out, meeting Ameri gave him the goal of advancing his rank. In the rank promotion exams, he consistently exceeded expectations, forming various friendships with demons and significantly influencing those around him, especially his classmates. This life in the demon world brought changes in him, shifting from a modest and desireless personality to one that wishes to protect his current life and place.
Due to the intentions of Kalego and other faculty members, he and his classmates underwent training until the Harvest Festival, where he trained under Bachiko and learned to handle a powerful bow. During the Harvest Festival, he teamed up with Lead, using his survival skills. While searching for the legendary leaf separately from Lead, he was attacked by Orobos and Ocho, but overcame his fear and renewed his resolve to live in the demon world. He successfully bloomed the legendary leaf with his classmates' help, becoming the Young King with Lead. At the Music Festival, he learned piano from Kalego and won with Purson and other students, advancing to He (5) as the only first-year in the Misfit Class. At the Akudol Grand Sports Festival, he was called by Kerori to fulfill a promise from the Harvest Festival, excelling with his bow skills and winning the final event by turning into Evil Iruma.
When the "TS Plan" to nurture and select the next Demon King was proposed by the Three Greats, he met the grandchildren of the other Greats and was recommended as a candidate for the next Demon King. He also met the 13 Crowns, who asked what kind of demon world he would create as a Demon King. Though he couldn't answer well due to his limited knowledge of the demon world, he left a good impression by asking for seconds during the meal after the Q&A. This sparked his interest in becoming a Demon King, making him face things he had previously ignored.
In his second year, he re-contracted with Kalego as his familiar and faced accidents similar to those at the time of his enrollment, such as burning paper and strange symbols appearing when checking his magic aptitude. During the Heartbreaker event, he teamed up with Chima Vine. Early on, he fought with Sheeda, who pointed out his hesitation to hit opponents despite having the ability, urging him to have the resolve to hurt. Despite having Chima's balloon popped, he escaped from Sheeda, later disrupting Robin's sniping, rescuing Jazz, and neutralizing Kalego, the strongest force, but was attacked by Atori, who revealed his true nature. Though Sheeda and other teachers arrived to save him, he was eliminated from the exam when Dali popped his last balloon.
Determined to live in the demon world, he wanted to witness important moments, leading him to try to participate in the Great Noble Assembly, later called the "13 Days of Betrayal." However, Opera stopped him due to the lack of personnel to protect him from being targeted. The Asmodeus family took on the role of his guards, allowing him to participate safely. After the TS Plan was announced, he became the center of attention and was asked again by Narnia, disguised as Fenrir, what kind of demon world he would create as a Demon King. This time, he answered, "A kind demon world where demons respect, cooperate, and elevate each other," but Narnia twisted his words and showed strong hostility upon realizing Iruma's true identity. Though Amaryllis saved him, he was depressed for a while but was encouraged by Paimon and recovered. When Behemolt tried to attack Princess Shura, he cooperated with Alice to snipe but was blocked by Kiriwo's "Barrier." After Behemolt's attack, he reunited with Kiriwo, who revealed he knew Iruma was human. After returning to school, he went to the Barbatos family with Robin to cheer up Bachiko, asking the enraged Great President to let him join in the anger, resulting in bonding with the Great President and Bachiko deciding to become one of the 13 Crowns, preventing a potential great war.
During the second division showcase, he proposed a haunted house but quickly sought help from the Art Division due to the much larger exhibition space than before.
Evil Iruma
A second personality born from the personality-altering magic of the Gluttonous Ring "Ali-san." Refers to himself as "ore." Sullivan calls him "Iruma." He has sharp eyes, a rough tone, and is always confident and ruthless, the opposite of the main personality, Iruma. However, he shares the trait of being unable to refuse others' requests. This personality is mistaken by those around him as his evil cycle.
Iruma
The name used when Iruma is cross-dressing. He was dressed up by Clara and Alice to substitute for the feverish Kuromu during a live performance, later joining Kuromu on stage after her recovery, leading to a successful performance and becoming known as a mysterious Akudol.
