Head teacher of Babyls. Refers to himself as "watashi" and "ore" (from episode 13 to 24). Single. Hobbies include collecting cacti. Catchphrases are "solemnly" and "with solemnity."

An excellent, serious, and prideful teacher who is strict but fair, often calling students "trash" or "problem children." He does not mix personal feelings with his professional duties and is strict within reasonable bounds. He accurately assesses students' abilities and potential, and if asked for guidance, he teaches rigorously but properly.

Due to his personality, he dislikes Sullivan's leniency but cannot oppose him as his superior. He has a senior-junior relationship with Opera, who used to boss him around, making him uncomfortable. He has a grudge against Robin due to the familiar summoning class (as it affects Iruma's grades, he remains quiet during class). On the other hand, he has been close friends with Balam since their early days at Babyls. He has experience leading a winning class in the music festival and can play most instruments.

Due to a mishap during the familiar summoning test, he was summoned by Iruma and became his familiar, which shocked him into bed rest. He eventually returned but was unable to attend a meeting due to being falsely accused and ended up being assigned as the homeroom teacher of the problem child class.

He holds a grudge against Iruma for causing disturbances like "chanting a forbidden spell at the entrance ceremony" and "dueling with Asmodeus." After being made Iruma's familiar, his dislike for Iruma grew, but he also worries about Iruma's recklessness due to his familiarity with danger.

He oversees the Heartbreaker game and decides the teams (his students notice his bias). In the final stages, he and Balam are deployed as the teachers' strongest force, quickly defeating Kerori and Elizabetta and cornering Alice. However, being summoned as Iruma's familiar, he cannot harm him, effectively neutralizing him. After reuniting with Alice and others, he senses danger and fights Atori to protect Iruma, but cannot exert his full power in his familiar form. After the test, it is revealed that the recommender for Shiida and Atori was his brother Narnia. Opera sternly reprimands him for aiding his brother's regression, but Kalego shows his resolve to deal with his brother if he poses a threat to Babyls and its students. Later, when Opera forcefully joins the problem child class as a special practical teacher, Kalego deeply sympathizes with the class.

He heads to the Magic Bureau to meet his brother, leaving the academy in the care of Opera and other teachers, but is refused by Henri due to Narnia being a candidate for the 13 Crowns. He tries to join the Great Noble Assembly to meet Narnia, and Henri points out the Naberius family rule to "abandon events in case of emergency," but Kalego uses the other rule, "once you decide to bite, cling on even with a single fang," to get approval.

At the Great Noble Assembly, he appears as a piano accompanist and later contacts Narnia. However, due to the Magic Bureau not wanting to expose Narnia and Henri acting as Narnia's double due to the disappearance of high-ranking demons, he cannot meet him there and has to wait until after the assembly. When he finally meets Narnia, he asks about Atori but only gets a vague response, feeling something is off despite Narnia's usual demeanor. As he leaves, Narnia warns him to stay away from Iruma. After the assembly, he isolates himself at home due to the incident and his evil cycle. He deduces Iruma's human identity and confirms it through Balam's reaction but pretends not to notice.

During the second division presentation, he judges "Smiling Garna" created by Judain and the Magic Tool Research Division with Tsumuru. The painting is so terrifying that Cerberus appears to threaten it, so despite praising its quality, he deems it too dangerous to display.

His family has been watchdogs for generations, and he was raised as the next watchdog of Babyls from a young age. During his time at Babyls, he was strict with discipline and had magical talent surpassing most upperclassmen. He was often mistaken for the mysterious boss Opera due to their similar appearance and was repeatedly involved in misunderstandings. When he tried to resolve this, he discovered Opera's true identity, challenged him, and lost. However, enduring one attack earned Opera's recognition, and he became a subordinate along with Balam.

Eggy-chan

Kalego's familiar form. Appears as a white chick with bat wings and a single strand of wavy purple hair (with one black claw-like appendage on each limb). Due to his fluffy feathers, he is also called "Mofu-Ego Sensei." He can still use magic in this form, but it appears cuter and less powerful. During Atori's attack, he couldn't fully protect Iruma.

A familiar's appearance strongly reflects its master's personality, so his form indicates Iruma's generally harmless nature. If someone tries to harm Iruma, they are properly punished (disciplined).

Cerberus

A giant three-headed dog with golden fur that appears when Kalego attacks. Also called Cerberion. Its attack move is "Watchdog's Claw (Cerberobute)," which uses its sharp claws.

Not a familiar but a ghost-like entity attached to the Naberius family. Unlike a family ability, it is pure magic embedded in the Naberius bloodline. It must be "trained" to recognize its master; otherwise, it will attack. Even when Kalego performs familiar summoning, Cerberion scares away potential familiars, so he has none. This is also why he supervises first-year familiar summoning (Cerberion acts as a deterrent to the summoned familiars).

Even in Iruma's familiar state, he can summon Cerberion, but it appears as a puppy with reduced combat ability.
