Heir to the prestigious Asmodeus family. Refers to himself as "watashi" and occasionally "boku" at the beginning. Specializes in magic that freely manipulates fire.

A handsome young man who values discipline and is a top student. He is the top of his grade and ranks first in practical skills. A well-rounded individual who excels in both academics and physical activities, and can also cook. As a person with common sense, he often explains things to Iruma, who is unfamiliar with the Netherworld, and serves as a valuable straight man in the Misfit Class. However, when it comes to Iruma, he can suddenly become foolish, and his wealthy background sometimes makes his perceptions different from others. He dislikes his biological mother and fish. Initially, he resented Iruma for taking the position of freshman representative from him, but after being completely defeated in a duel he requested, he became devoted to Iruma and always addresses him as "Iruma-sama." Although he intended to become Iruma's servant, he was deeply moved when Iruma soon called him a "friend," and he frequently emphasizes to others that he is Iruma's "friend." However, Alice's definition of "friend" involves a "blood pact," which makes others wary.

Usually calm and composed, he is very short-tempered and often exudes an aura that keeps others at a distance, but he always greets Iruma with a beaming smile. He becomes noticeably emotional when Iruma is involved. He has a quarrelsome friendship with Clara, calling her an "idiot" while constantly competing over their "friendship" with Iruma. Initially, he called her Valac, but after practicing for the music festival, he started calling her Clara. He has a rivalry with Sabro, and although they were initially at odds, they have increasingly worked together as the story progresses. In his evil cycle form, he rampages while laughing maniacally as if drunk.

During the Harvest Festival, he teamed up with Sabro, defeating strong magical beasts to earn points. In the battle against the Dorodoro Brothers, he saw through their abilities and unleashed his evil cycle to win. He continued to accumulate points smoothly but rushed to Iruma's aid upon learning of his crisis. Although direct attacks between students were against the rules, he delivered a powerful blow to Orobas, entrusting victory to Iruma, believing it was acceptable as long as he could be Iruma's spear.

After the music festival, he went to the Magic Tools Research Division for Iruma and reunited with Kiriwo. Realizing that Kiriwo intended to harm Iruma due to his eyes resembling those of the original returnee he had seen before, he fought but Kiriwo escaped.

After the Misfit Class won the music festival and everyone was promoted to rank 4 or higher, he gathered the class and declared that while everyone else in the class was Iruma's "friends," he and Clara were "best friends."

During the Heartbreaker, he teamed up with Silvia Zeze and later joined forces with Team Kamui for the mission. When Eight appeared, he entrusted his team to Kamui and faced Eight alone, struggling against the superior fire user. Despite being urged to use his family ability, he refused and countered with his trump card, Amaryllis. Eight acknowledged his skill and let him pass after completing the mission. He later reunited with Iruma and, despite an attack from Atori, escaped and passed the exam, advancing to rank "He (5)."

Before the Great Noble Assembly known as the "13 Days of Betrayal," Iruma sought his help to convince Opera to allow his participation. He asked his mother Amaryllis to guard Iruma, and she agreed on the condition that he escort her and choose her clothes, successfully persuading Opera.

Within the Misfit Class, his family ability remains unknown, along with Allocer. Eight described it as magic capable of overcoming overwhelming situations, but he hesitates to use it even when cornered and refuses to speak of it. Since Iruma praised his fire magic, he has focused on using only fire magic. After advancing to the second year, he mastered a special blue flame called Amaryllis, significantly increasing his power and gaining the ability to absorb flames.
