Toya Hayase

16 years old. A former friend of Kyo from middle school. He was a member of the swimming club along with Ushio Kawaguchi during middle school and was a good rival, but left the club due to an incident Kyo caused at a swimming competition. Even after entering high school, he did not join any club activities and often hung out with Ushio Kawaguchi and others, opposing Kyo. He was in a romantic relationship with Sachiko Tsumura. He awakens as a Celebrant during the final battle. He assists Shizuno, aiming for the control system of the Cloud, along with Tomigai and the crew of the Okeanos.

(*) Later, moved by Kyo's earnestness, he joins the swimming club. He nearly awakens as a Celebrant at the end of summer vacation. His part in the medley relay is backstroke.
