Furlan Church

One of Levi's companions from his thug days. Originally a gang leader in the underground city, he lost a duel to Levi and ceded his position to him. Over time, as he acted alongside Levi as their leader, he came to acknowledge and deeply trust him. He joined the Survey Corps with Levi, but before the main story, he was acting in the shadows under Levi's instructions to successfully carry out an under-the-table deal brought by someone. His hobby was reading, and he read various books since his underground days. Shortly after joining, during an expedition outside the walls, he suffered a malfunction with his vertical maneuvering equipment, was unable to fight back, and was devoured by a Titan. Witnessing this scene, an enraged Levi cut open the Titan's stomach to rescue him, but his body was left in a gruesome state, with only the upper half remaining. In the main story, he appears in a single panel alongside Isabel in Levi's flashback.
