He holds the position of centurion in the enforcer organization "Black Lizard," which is under the Port Mafia's umbrella. He follows the command of Akutagawa and Higuchi, but internally, he does not respect Higuchi since she lacks special abilities like himself and Akutagawa. However, when she went alone to rescue Akutagawa, he valued her spirit and provided her support.

During the three-organization ability war, he cooperated with Dazai. Additionally, during the skirmish between the Detective Agency and the Mafia, he attempted to capture Tanizaki, who had stayed behind to negotiate with the Mafia, to turn him into a spy, but Tanizaki's ability outmaneuvered him, allowing Tanizaki to escape.

In the fight against "The Five Deadly Omens," he was ordered to escort the Detective Agency members as they attempted to negotiate with Fitzgerald. However, when the military police suddenly appeared, he temporarily retreated into a secret Mafia passage. Encountering one of the Hunting Dogs on the surface again, he protected Yosano along with Tachihara and Gin, but was injured while buying time for the three to escape. In reality, Tachihara was manipulating the Hunting Dog's sword and held back, resulting in lighter injuries than the dramatic bloodshed suggested. When Tachihara, who visited him in the hospital room, questioned him, he referred to Tachihara as the "mafia within the mafia," but upon learning Tachihara thought the Detective Agency was a terrorist group, he remarked that Tachihara was more severe than them. He and Gin then informed him that the Detective Agency was not a terrorist group. This conversation played a part in Tachihara breaking the page's power. When Higuchi and Gin become vampires, he helps Tachihara escape.

Falling Camellia (Ochitsubaki)

An ability that repels anything touched by the fingertip with repulsive force. Its power is enough to touch an enemy and instantly kill them. The ability's name is taken from a novel by the character's namesake, Ryūrō Hirotsu.
