Character Introduction

Edit
A 22-year-old man with silver-rimmed glasses, long hair tied in a ponytail, and dressed in a suit style.
Birthday: August 30. Height: 189 cm, Weight: 78 kg. Blood type: A. Likes: notebooks, fishing, and seared bonito. Dislikes: unexpected events and authority.
He always carries a notebook with "Ideal" written on the cover, planning his actions meticulously. He becomes furious when faced with unexpected situations. The notebook contains not only his future plans, including marriage, but also his "ideal woman" description.
He has a rigid personality that doesn't understand jokes, often getting his nerves rattled by the easygoing Dazai and frequently falling for his pranks. He is strict with Atsushi but secretly acknowledges his efforts, encouraging him when he goes to rescue Kyouka and praising him after the war ends.
He acts as a coordinator among the detective agency members. Although his ability is not combat-specialized, he excels in martial arts learned from the president, easily throwing off attacking Black Lizard units.
During the Three Companies War, he teamed up with Tanizaki to rescue Naomi and Haruno, who were captured by Steinbeck and Lovecraft. Though cornered by Lovecraft's ability, they escaped thanks to Tanizaki's power.
Before working at the Armed Detective Agency, he was a math teacher at a school.
In the past, while investigating a series of bombings by "Blue King," he independently located their hideout and reported it to the police. However, due to the joint investigation by the military, police, and public security, the command system became chaotic. The "Blue King," sensing the police's movements, barricaded himself in the building with bombs, resulting in the deaths of five investigators who arrived first, caught in the Blue King's suicide bombing. Kunikida, feeling responsible for their deaths, hired Rokuzou, who lost his father to the Blue King's suicide, as an informant and took care of him in place of his deceased father.
After Fukuzawa fell due to Dostoevsky's scheme, Kunikida led the employees as Fukuzawa's representative. However, while pursuing the virus-type ability user with Atsushi, Dostoevsky framed an unrelated man as the ability user, forcing Kunikida to shoot his brother and witness his sister's suicide to protect him, leading to a mental breakdown. He regained his spirit after receiving a message from Ranpo and Kaburagi. After Dostoevsky's arrest, Kunikida was detained on charges of causing the sister's death but was released with the help of Oguri Mushitarou.
During the battle with "Heavenly Five Decay" and "Hunting Dogs," he tried to escape after being framed but was caught by Jouno and Tetchou. He escaped once on a mafia helicopter but jumped off with Tetchou, who tried to board using his ability, and detonated a grenade. Though he avoided fatal injuries by using Tetchou as a shield, he lost both hands and was captured by the military police. While imprisoned, he was offered a deal to switch sides but was rescued by Ranpo and Poe, receiving treatment from Yosano. After recovery, he was tasked with searching for the fugitive Tanizaki and Kenji. After reuniting with the agency members in Poe's ability space, he attempted to stop the "Great Command" transfer and execute the Bram Stoker assassination plan under Ranpo's orders. While searching for Bun with Tanizaki, he was captured by Fukuchi and used as a hostage against Fukuzawa.
"Doppo Ginkaku"
His ability allows him to materialize and actualize what is written in his notebook by consuming its pages. However, he can only materialize objects smaller than the notebook's area (as recognized by Kunikida) and those he has seen and understood in shape and function. The ability requires writing, so he couldn't use it when he lost his hands.
He can materialize objects from detached notebook pages, even from a distance and through another person's will. He can also pre-write in the notebook and use it as a trap to make enemies open it and materialize the contents.
The ability name comes from one of the pen names of the literary figure Doppo Kunikida, after whom the character is named.
