Character Setting

Edit

Hiyori Kazane is a main supporting character in Heaven's Lost Property and a key figure in the movie "Heaven's Lost Property: The Angeloid of Clockwork." She appears gentle, kind, and deeply caring, balancing her school life with family responsibilities after losing her parents. Hiyori has the rare ability to control the weather, and in the movie, she can control space and time. Though she may seem quiet, she is brave and shows remarkable growth throughout her story. Hiyori is tied closely to the mysterious world of Synapse and has a heartfelt connection with Tomoki Sakurai. She stands out not just for her powers or tragic story, but also for her charming innocence and the strength to make tough choices.

Hiyori Kazane is a schoolgirl who is often seen tending to her vegetable garden.

Her measurements are 82-49-80 cm.

Her height and weight are unknown.

Hiyori is pure-hearted and shy, often blushing when embarrassed.

She is honest, hardworking, and dedicated to caring for her young brothers.

Despite her gentle nature, she can be surprisingly bold when needed, such as when she kisses Tomoki or agrees to his strange requests without hesitation.

She is always considerate of others' feelings and tries her best, earning admiration from those around her.

Hiyori attends Sorami Middle School as a second-year student, class 2-D.

She is in the gardening club.

After her parents died two years ago, she took care of their vegetable garden and looked after her siblings.

In the original manga, Hiyori can control the weather.

She can cause rain, lightning, and tornadoes for both attack and defense.

She uses her power to water her vegetables, which she enjoys a lot.

After becoming Angeloid Type Z (Zeta), her abilities include advanced hacking and powerful electronic warfare.

However, because she was originally human, her armor is weak and her durability is lower compared to other Angeloids.

In the movie, her powers are different: she can control time and space, allowing her to stop attacks and transfer objects.

She also has the Kairos unit, which boosts her combat skills.

Hiyori has strong feelings for Tomoki Sakurai and looks at him every day on his way to school, since her garden is on his route.

She also becomes close to Eishiro Sugata and Mikako Satsukitane, who invite her into the New Continent Discovery Club.

She takes care of her little brothers after her parents' death.

Encounter with Synapse

Eishiro Sugata discovers Hiyori sleeping in the Synapse living area.

She is not just a human girl, but also a "non-existent" girl created from her own dreams.

She often dreams of living on Earth as a normal student at Sorami Middle School.

Joining the Club

At first, Hiyori is viewed with suspicion by Eishiro, but Mikako invites her to join the New Continent Discovery Club.

Through various club activities, she proves her kindness and determination, winning over even Tomoki.

Everyday Life and Hidden Identity

While caring for her brothers and maintaining her family’s garden, Hiyori spends her days watching over Tomoki.

She passes difficult club entrance tests set by Tomoki, impressing him so much that he wishes to apologize to the whole world for doubting her.

She truly enjoys her club life and fits in well.

Tragic Incident and Transformation

A tragic event leads to Hiyori's death.

After this, all traces of her are erased from the memories of those who knew her, as well as from photos and school records.

Hiyori's desire to see Tomoki is exploited by the Master of the Sky, who transforms her into Angeloid Type Z (Zeta).

With her weather-controlling power, she overwhelms Ikaros and the others.

But Tomoki’s words, and Nymph’s evolved form, help her break free from control.

Decision and New Life

After her freedom, Hiyori decides not to return to Synapse but to live on Earth as an Angeloid, using her weather powers to care for her garden.

Later, she senses Tomoki’s feelings and leaves the club on her own.

Differences in Movie Version

In the movie, her abilities shift to controlling time and space.

She can stop attacks and move things through dimensions.

However, because her armor is still weak, Nymph's "Paradise Song" is enough to defeat her.

Later Events and Revival

Near the story's end, Chaos nearly kills Hiyori.

Learning about Chaos’s feelings, Hiyori chooses to end her own life, which leads to misunderstandings among her friends.

She is eventually revived through Tomoki’s wish.

The inspiration for Hiyori’s Angeloid Z form is thought to be the "goddess of the rainbow" because she controls the weather, and rainbows connect to the sky.

Hiyori is a major figure in both the manga and the feature film.

She is known for her gentle but determined nature and her unique blend of human qualities with Angeloid powers.
