Arthur

An ophthalmologist and a young novelist. A guest invited to a formal dinner party. Also serves as the narrator of the same volume.

A young, unsuccessful novelist. He is a gentle man with a timid personality, but on the other hand, he has a calm side and excellent observational skills. He was invited to the Phantomhive mansion's formal dinner party because Ciel was very fond of his long novel that was published once in a minor magazine, and he encounters an incident there. As a doctor, he performs simple autopsies, and after the arrival of Father Rasbone, he acts together with him in the investigation of the incident.

After the resolution of the incident, he continues to produce various works as if running away, in order to keep the promise of silence about the truth hidden behind it. He was also writing a novel based on this incident, but in later years, he burns it in the fireplace.

It is hinted that he is Arthur Conan Doyle, and it is suggested that the experience of the dinner party led to the Sherlock Holmes series.
