Dōren is one of the Four Beast Generals of the Dankai Clan, known as "The Tiger." Born in the same village as Jinun, he sees himself as Jinun’s rival. Dōren is a big, strong man who believes in the true spirit of martial arts. He once called himself “Dōsuke” before joining the Dankai Clan. Dōren uses both advanced martial arts and spiritual power, making him one of the strongest fighters in the group. He values fair fights, loves a good brawl, and enjoys drinking with friends like Shakugan. After facing near death, he lost his right eye but returned years later, stronger than ever and served as Mudo’s master. Dōren’s story is full of action, pride, friendship, and sacrifice, leading to a dramatic finale where his power supports his friends even after his death.
Dōren has a huge, powerful body but moves very fast. After the events of the first series, he returns looking a bit older and missing his right eye.
Dōren is bold and open-minded. He doesn’t judge others easily and is known for his strong sense of pride in martial arts.
He loves a good fight and enjoys drinking with Shakugan.
Dōren believes fighting is a pure test of spirit and skill, not something to be ashamed of.
Before joining the Dankai Clan, Dōren was known as “Dōsuke.”
He comes from the same place as Jinun, who he sees as his lifelong rival.
Dōren volunteered to become a modified human, using spiritual power to grow stronger.
Dōren’s main fighting style is “God of Brawling,” a Western-style martial art that focuses on pure strength.
He uses a special movement called “Discarding Wind,” allowing him to move swiftly despite his size.
His special technique, “Senjin Fist,” lets him create endless possibilities of punches at the same time using spiritual power.
Dōren can easily defeat even highly modified fighters known as “The Ten Saints of Heaven,” making him the strongest among the Dankai Clan.
Even with lower spiritual power than Senya, Mudo, or Nadare, his skill and training make others respect him, including the mysterious “People of Nothing.”
First Battle with Jinka Yamato
Dōren faces Jinka Yamato and is hit by the “Five Element Soul” attack.
He is defeated in the fight, and his fate is left unclear at the end of the first part.
Training Mudo
Dōren disappears for many years.
In the second part, he returns as the master of Mudo, now older and missing one eye.
He is still very strong and knocks out Mudo, who has become a dragon, in one hit.
Rescuing Shakugan and Final Duel
Dōren joins Senya to rescue Shakugan and others who were captured by the People of Nothing.
At the Dankai Clan headquarters, he faces his rival Jinun (now called Nadare) in a one-on-one duel.
Dōren wins for the first time but suffers fatal injuries.
Realizing he will not live long, Dōren lets Yazen transfer his spiritual core into Senya.
After Death – Guardian Spirit
After Dōren’s death, his spiritual darkness, known as Jakki, is sealed inside his own spirit core.
This core, along with Nadare’s, is then implanted into Senya, making Dōren a guiding force for Senya even after his death.
Dōren believes “the fist is the ultimate and unremovable weapon that all warriors are born with.”
He is proud of his fighting style and never gives up training, even as he gets older.
