Shura

The young female leader of the pirates, Kairyuu, who leads the men of the sea. Kairyuu was originally founded by Shura's father, Ryuugorou, to save the children living on a remote island, which was once a poor fishing village, from poverty. The pirates had several rules, such as "Do not kill women and children," "Do not harm the weak," and "Only plunder from the wicked." She is a proud girl who loves her island. She falls for the only man she couldn't defeat, Kenshin. Later, she sets out on a journey with Sarujirou and Iwakura. She wields a three-section staff as her weapon.
