Kanao Tsuyuri

A female swordsman in the Demon Slayer Corps who is a contemporary of Tanjiro. She is 16 years old. Recognized for her talent, she became the "Tsuguko" of the Insect Pillar, Shinobu Kocho. She is a swordsman of the "Flower Breathing" style, like Kanae Kocho. She has a better physique and strength than Shinobu, and her fighting style is different.

Her vision is exceptionally keen, with outstanding reaction speed and dynamic vision, making it possible that her potential surpasses even Shinobu's.

She is excellent in her missions but is usually absent-minded and expressionless. She has a sense of nihilism, feeling indifferent to everything and unable to make decisions, often using a coin toss to decide her actions. However, her encounter with Tanjiro changes her. Since meeting him, she starts acting on her own will without coin tosses, showing growth.

In her childhood, she lost her emotions due to abuse from her biological parents. After being sold by her parents and being taken around by a human trafficker, she was rescued and taken in by the Kocho sisters. Kanae named her "Kanao," but due to her past, she could not assert herself and was given a coin by Kanae.

Despite not showing it outwardly, she deeply admired Kanae and Shinobu, declaring them as her family. She was even considered for adoption but stayed with the Kocho sisters. Interacting with those who lost family to demons, like Shinobu, Aoi, and Kiyo, she developed anger towards the demons who killed kind Corps members and Tsuguko. She joined the final selection without informing Shinobu.

After the selection exam, she reappeared at Mount Natagumo but had no combat scenes for a long time. In the Infinity Castle, she witnessed Shinobu being killed by Upper Moon Two, Doma, which caused her suppressed emotions to explode. She provoked Doma, and with Inosuke's intervention, fought 2-on-1. Following a pre-planned strategy from Shinobu, they successfully decapitated Doma using Shinobu's poison. She administered the final drug to turn Tanjiro, who had become the Demon King, back into a human.

The final form, Scarlet Spider Lily Eyes, caused her right eye to lose sight in the fight against Doma, and her left eye's vision significantly deteriorated in the battle against the Demon King. After the war, Sanemi entrusted Kaburamaru to her.

A technique where the user evades enemy attacks while rotating their body to slash in a spiral path, combining offense and defense.

Final Form: Scarlet Spider Lily Eyes

A secret technique unique to Kanao. By concentrating all her nerves and breathing into her eyes, she enhances her dynamic vision to the extreme, making all surrounding movements appear slow. However, the strain on the eyes is immense, causing the sclera to turn red, with a high risk of blindness.
