Akari Akaza

The protagonist of this work is a 13-year-old first-year middle school student with red semi-short hair tied into buns on both sides of her head. Although they are in different grades, she has been close friends with Kyōko and Yui since childhood.

She has a generally cheerful personality and is often depicted with a gentle and warm expression in the series. She is a kind-hearted child who dislikes hurting others. Her kindness sometimes becomes a threat to the comedic group, including Kyōko.

At the beginning of the series, she appears to be the main character, but due to her good nature, she is often treated as an inconspicuous character by those around her (mainly the Amusement Club). Kyōko often overshadows her, cuts her out of scenes, or forgets her existence, leading to many unfortunate incidents. However, she is not an unnoticeable character; the narrative portrays her limited screen time and the unfortunate treatment she receives from the staff and others as her moments to shine. A new characteristic suggested jokingly by Yui, "the sound effect becomes 'Akariiin,'" becomes established in the story and is used in the anime version before the title call.

She is naive about romantic feelings between women and tends to be detached from such relationships.

In the second volume of the original series, she tied for third place in the popularity poll with Ayano.
