Yui Funami

A 14-year-old second-year middle school student with black semi-short hair. An only child, but a relative's child named Mari occasionally comes to play. She has a cool personality and often sternly retorts to Kyōko's rampages and Chinatsu's nosebleeds. Despite appearing tough, she is not strictly so; she cares for the often unfortunate Akari and takes time to entertain her visiting relative's child, earning her the nickname "the mother of the Amusement Club." Although she seems strong and reliable, she quickly became homesick when she started living alone, showing her lonely side. During a Christmas couple role-play and when Kyōko hit her head and acted out of character, she realized how significant Kyōko was to her.

She lives alone as a middle school student and can cook quite well. Among the four members of the Amusement Club, she is the tallest, and her figure is considered surprisingly good by others, such as Ayano, especially when she wears a swimsuit. Her hobby is playing video games, and in volume 17, she plays an online game called "Namonomo Fantasy 14," becoming close friends through voice chat with another player named "Kasumi (who is actually Nadeshiko)," though they are unaware of each other's true identities.

Namori, the author, mentioned that her mother thought Yui was the protagonist of the series. Yui ranked second in the popularity poll in the second volume of the original series.
