Vincent Phantomhive

Ciel's father. The former head of the Phantomhive earl family.

A beautiful man with delicate features, characterized by a beauty mark under his eye. He has brunette hair. Normally a calm and gentle person, his true nature as the Queen's Watchdog is often hinted to be quite ruthless and capable. He often speaks in a teasing manner to those he is close to. Three years before the start of the story, his mansion was attacked by someone, and he was brutally murdered along with his wife Rachel and their servants. Their bodies were burned along with the mansion.

He was an alumnus of Weston College and had a past as the prefect of the Sapphire Owl dormitory. At that time, he aimed to make Diedrich, the prefect of the Emerald Lion dormitory, his pawn by winning a cricket tournament. The victory of the Sapphire Owl dormitory, known for excelling in academics but not in sports, was considered a one-time miracle, and when Ciel infiltrated Weston College, it was still referred to as "the miracle of the sapphire."

In the anime version

He is brutally murdered by Angela. His body is sewn together with Rachel's face, shocking Ciel in his memories, and in the real world, he is manipulated by Angela as the leader of a heretical cult. Unaware of his true identity, Ciel orders Sebastian to kill him, and he is struck in the head by a knife thrown by Sebastian, collapsing and then being crushed under the rubble of a church that Angela collapses.
