The protagonist of this work is an unremarkable middle-aged office worker. His life takes a significant turn when he discovers that the Java Sparrow he bought from a pet shop seeking comfort is the reincarnation of a sage from another world. Named Peeps, he aims for a slow life of eating and sleeping with the Java Sparrow.

By connecting with Peeps, he becomes able to use magical powers such as barriers, flight, and lightning strikes, learning various magic from Peeps. According to Peeps, he has a good memory for magic. Also, due to the influence of great magical power, he is classified as a "superior individual" in the other world, and his lifespan seems to have changed.

He was mistaken for a superpower user who could control ice after saving Sasaki with ice magic and was asked to join the government organization "Supernatural Phenomena Management Bureau" that manages superpower users. Tired of his corporate slave life, he changed jobs while keeping magic and the other world a secret. Furthermore, when Shizuka Futari joined the bureau, Akutsu unilaterally decided to give her the same authority as Mr. Sasaki.

Later, while getting involved in wars and political upheavals in the Herz Kingdom of the other world and fighting to protect the environment for a slow life, on Earth, he struggles to deal with superpower users, magical girls targeting them, a death game between angels and demons, giant monsters from another world, and aliens.

The author Bun Korori had also considered a "handsome character with glasses" different from the adopted pattern, but after careful consideration, this idea was not pursued. The setting was made middle-aged because the protagonist of the author's debut work was middle-aged, and the second work featured a boy, so for the third work, the author decided to return to a middle-aged protagonist.
