A new recruit appearing in the Marley arc. She is actually a girl who was saved by Mikasa when she and her mother were about to be attacked by Titans during the Battle of Trost District. Since witnessing Mikasa defeat the Titans, she came to believe that without power, nothing can be protected. In the Marley arc, she joins the Survey Corps as a new recruit. After the battle in Marley, she joins the "Yeagerists" and is imprisoned by Mikasa for leaking information about Eren's capture to the public. Later, she escapes with Floch and others to reunite with Eren and participates in the takeover of the Corps. During the Marleyan army's surprise attack on Paradis Island, she feels honored to fight alongside her idol Mikasa once again and engages in battle with the Marleyan forces. In that battle, she is injured by a fragment of a Thunder Spear hitting her abdomen. Although she receives medical treatment, she realizes she cannot live long because the fragment cannot be removed, and she regrets not being able to see the free world Eren is creating. Before the battle, she secretly took and wore the scarf Mikasa had left behind, which Mikasa later came to retrieve.
