Halkara

Halkara is an elf with the appearance of a woman around 20 years old.

She has an exceptionally curvy body, especially her chest, which is large even by elven standards.

Before the appearance of Yufufu, the Spirit of Dripping, Halkara was known as having the biggest chest among all characters.

This feature attracts a lot of attention and often makes Halkara stand out in a crowd, and sometimes causes jealousy from others like Azusa Aizawa.

Her big chest comes from her mother's side of the family.

She does not seem to be aware of her own figure, which sometimes leads to embarrassing moments.

Her style is much more voluptuous than most elves from Frant Province, where elves are usually slimmer.

Halkara is extremely clumsy and is known as a troublemaker.

She is cheerful and hardworking but always manages to find herself in bad or silly situations.

She tends to make simple mistakes, like eating poisonous mushrooms by accident.

Even when Halkara does nothing, trouble seems to seek her out.

She has almost no physical strength or fighting ability, so she can't solve problems by herself.

Halkara enjoys drinking but is a weak drinker and quickly becomes tipsy.

She is not interested in girls romantically, but has a little bit of a crush on Azusa Aizawa, occasionally teasing her.

She considers herself a "straight girl who could be seduced," joking that she is not actually interested in girls.

Halkara was born in the elf district of the Duchy of Good Branch, in the Frant Province.

She is over 200 years old (claims to be "17 years and 2,500 months"), making her one of the younger adults in her world, though she is the second youngest among those living with Azusa Aizawa—the youngest being the 50-year-old twin slime spirits, Falfa and Shalsha.

She graduated from the Forest Elf University's Department of Pharmacy.

Her family consists of her father, mother, older brother, and a younger sister who is 40 years younger and works as a beautician.

Her family members are all very carefree and irresponsible, so Halkara became the main provider for her family.

She started her own company, Halkara Pharmaceuticals, to make money for her family, because her father and brother could not hold steady jobs.

Her sister is the only one with a regular job, working at a nail salon.

Halkara keeps her own savings away from her family so they don't become even lazier.

Halkara is a skilled alchemist and pharmacologist.

She founded Halkara Pharmaceuticals, successfully developing and selling a popular energy drink called "Nutritive Wine" (also known as energy wine).

She is smart in business and manages production and the sale of other products, such as Azusa Aizawa's "Edible Slime" treats.

However, her physical abilities and combat skills are no better than an average person.

She cannot defend herself when trouble arises.

• Azusa Aizawa: Halkara sees Azusa as her mentor and calls her "Master." Their bond grows into a true friendship, even though Halkara sometimes teases Azusa about her own figure.
• Family: She has a father, mother, elder brother, and a much younger sister. Halkara tries to take care of her family financially but often finds their dependence and lack of discipline frustrating.
• Beelzebub: A misunderstanding with Beelzebub causes Halkara to flee her hometown.
• Laika and Flatorte: They help carry Halkara to work by flying her on their backs after Halkara gets used to riding them.
• Rosalie: Her pharmaceutical factory is haunted by Rosalie the ghost.
• Pecora: Halkara accidentally headbutted Pecora and knocked her unconscious, leading to some trouble.
• Eno: As a rival businesswoman and another pharmacist, Eno often clashes with Halkara, especially when she releases competing products.

Trouble with Beelzebub

Halkara started her own company, Halkara Pharmaceuticals, in her home country.

She made a popular energy drink called "Nutritive Wine."

When Beelzebub drank it, she became sick, which started a rumor that Beelzebub was angry with Halkara.

This caused all of Halkara's employees to quit and her company to collapse.

Halkara's home country quickly tried to get rid of her by putting out a wanted poster for her.

Fearing for her life, Halkara ran away and sought help from Azusa Aizawa, who had become famous as a level 99 witch.

Becoming Azusa’s Apprentice

Halkara pretended to be Azusa's apprentice and hid out at Azusa's house.

Later, Beelzebub herself visited, and the real reason for her collapse was uncovered: it was her own overwork and not Halkara's drink.

The wanted poster was actually made because people wanted Halkara to produce more of the Nutritive Wine.

Although everything was a misunderstanding, Halkara did not want to return to her home country after being abandoned by them.

She decided to stay as Azusa's apprentice and set up a new factory close to Flata Village in Nascoute Town.

More Misadventures

Halkara's troublemaking ways do not stop.

She sometimes mixes up edible and poisonous mushrooms, which causes problems for herself and Azusa.

When opening her new factory, she accidentally builds it on land haunted by the ghost, Rosalie.

She also gets arrested by the state governor due to a false accusation after refusing to give a bribe.

When she met the Demon King Pecora, she apologized for a mistake but accidentally knocked Pecora out cold with her head.

She often becomes the center of chaos and often needs rescuing due to her lack of abilities.

Success in Business

Despite all the accidents, Halkara successfully restarts Halkara Pharmaceuticals.

She employs her whole family in the new factory she builds in her hometown, trying to teach them to be independent.

She is also in charge of the production and sales of the Edible Slime snacks that Azusa invented.

Among all of Azusa's family members, Halkara is the wealthiest.

Side Story: Elf's Meals

In the spin-off novel "Elf's Meals," Halkara is the main character.

Before meeting Azusa, she travels around trying restaurants and searching for good food, but her clumsiness often ruins her plans.

At the end of the spin-off, she is suddenly sent to modern Japan by Megamega Shin's magic, where she meets Azusa's past self as a high school student.

• Halkara became her family's main support because her father and brother were so unreliable.
• She limits her family’s access to her money so they don’t become more spoiled.
• She is famous for being told "You have such a sexy body!" about 750 times a year, which is about twice a day.
• Even after leaving her home country, she eventually builds a second factory there and hires her family.
• She gets motion sickness easily, but has gotten used to riding on Laika’s back for her work commute.
