Shalsha

Shalsha looks like a young girl around 10 years old, with light green hair. Her appearance does not show her real age of about 50 years. In the anime opening, she can transform into a slime that matches her hair color, light green.

Shalsha is quiet and calm.

She often uses difficult words when talking.

When she wants attention or affection from Azusa, she tries to explain it with logic instead of simply asking.

She loves reading books about history, theology, and even geometry.

Compared to her sister Falfa, she is more reserved.

Even though she sometimes acts cold, she cares a lot about her family.

She was not honest about wanting a mother, which is why she acted out in the beginning.

Shalsha was born about 50 years ago from the souls of slimes that Azusa Aizawa had defeated for over 200 years.

Her twin sister is Falfa.

Unlike Falfa, Shalsha never turned into a slime form in the main story, but she does in the anime’s opening.

At first, Shalsha wanted to get revenge on Azusa for the slimes, so she spent 50 years building up magic power and created a special magic just for Azusa.

Shalsha has strong magic power, but she can only use one spell: "Anti-Evil Magic <Witch of the Highlands>."

This spell is very powerful, but only works against Azusa. It can neutralize Azusa’s magic and even threaten her life.

The spell’s effect gets weaker if used on a large group or less specific targets.

After using this magic once, Shalsha loses most of her magic and cannot use magic again for decades.

Her physical strength is about the same as her sister Falfa.

She is very good at drawing pictures.

She likes studying rather than practicing magic.

Shalsha is Falfa’s twin sister. She becomes Azusa Aizawa’s adopted daughter after the incident.

She calls Azusa “Mom” and wants her love and care, even though she finds it hard to show her feelings at first.

She is very happy when Sandra joins the family as a younger sister and also when a little sister named Shironah appears.

Shalsha also knows an old scholar with a white beard who is said to know a lot about ghosts.

She has signed her research papers as "Shalsha Aizawa.”

She and Falfa do not like vegetables, especially celery.

Born from Defeated Slimes

About 50 years ago, after Azusa Aizawa defeated slimes for more than 200 years, Shalsha was born from the gathering of their souls.

Her older twin sister is Falfa.

Plan for Revenge

Shalsha used 50 years to collect magic power and invent special magic called "Anti-Evil Magic <Witch of the Highlands>" to face Azusa.

This spell is very strong against Azusa and can make her magic useless.

But the magic only works on Azusa, and needs a lot of magic power.

Shalsha nearly defeats Azusa, but Laika interrupts and defeats Shalsha in one strike, ending the fight.

Becoming Azusa's Daughter

Because Shalsha used up all her magic, she cannot use magic for decades, and she can no longer try to get revenge.

Azusa takes care of her, and with Falfa’s help, Shalsha is invited to join the family as Azusa’s adopted child.

At first, she tries to hide her feelings, but she becomes happy to call Azusa her "Mom" and live together.

Shalsha is the youngest in the Highland House.

She gets very happy when Sandra and Shironah join as sisters.

It is revealed that her reason for coming after Azusa was her honest longing for a mother, not true revenge.

Shalsha’s birthday is celebrated on May 17 with Azusa, Falfa, and Sandra because no one knows her exact birth date.

There are only two people in the kingdom who study the cultural history of slimes, including Shalsha herself.
