Ragnar

A loyal retainer and tutor of Canute. A Christian with a distinctive pointed head. He has protected the frail Canute in the royal palace of Jelling, where power struggles are repeated. Until Canute had an argument with Thorfinn, he was Canute's only conversation partner. To encourage Canute's "growth as a king," he was killed as part of Askeladd's scheme. Afterwards, he appeared in Canute's dream, announcing his "awakening as a king" before disappearing.
