Hina Amano

The heroine of the story. Born on August 22, 2006. A third-year middle school student.

She gained the ability to temporarily change the weather in a localized area as wished through prayer by passing through a small shrine gate on the rooftop of an abandoned building in Yoyogi. However, every time she uses this ability, her body gradually becomes transparent as a price. Initially unaware of this, she considered her role as a "100% Sunshine Girl" to be her calling. Later, Natsumi showed her a video where a priest from the Weather Shrine talked about the legend of the Weather Maiden, making her realize the truth.

She met Hodaka at a McDonald's in Kabukicho, working there with a falsified age (later discovered and fired). She treated him to a Big Mac when he looked hungry and out of money, which led to their acquaintance. When she first met Hodaka, she was 14, but she told him she'd be turning 18 on her next birthday.

In the movie's final scene, she reappears in a school uniform and reunites with Hodaka. However, there is no mention of her high school name.

Her mother's name is "Megumi" (kanji unknown). There is no mention of her father, and nothing is known about him.

Features/Personality

She wears her hair in two black pigtails. Her usual attire includes a sleeveless white hoodie and hot pants. Besides her school uniform in the final scene, she also wore a yukata at the Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival.

She lives with her brother, Nagi, in a 2DK apartment located on a hill near JR Tabata Station. A year prior, she lost her mother to illness and wore her mother's bracelet as a choker around her neck. She also makes her room's decorations (such as sun catchers) by hand and is skilled at cooking with snacks and available ingredients. She grows bean sprouts and green onions in their apartment. However, she isn't good at drawing, as seen in a scene where she attempts to draw a frog but is asked by Hodaka if it's a hippo. She doesn't own a cell phone or smartphone, so external communication like calls, emails, or SNS is not possible.

When Hodaka fired a gun at Kimura, she was greatly angered and raised her voice. However, after getting to know Hodaka, she started acting for his benefit, even charging at police officers.

Hodaka calls her "Hina-san" or "Hina." Nagi calls her "Nee-chan," while Keisuke, Natsumi, and Moeka call her "Hina-chan."

Initial Production Settings

During the initial planning phase, her name was "Hinata," and her age was 18, not 14. Regarding family, she was originally set to have no father, a hospitalized mother, and two younger sisters instead of a brother. Instead of creating clear skies in rain clouds with prayer, her original plan was to have a 100% accurate weather forecast ability, with the reveal that she was actually manipulating the weather herself to come in the latter half of the story.
