Takai

A young male detective who works alongside Yasui in the investigation. His full name is Takashi Takai, and he holds the rank of Assistant Inspector. His distinctive pompadour hairstyle stands out. Takai possesses a strong sense of duty as a police officer, but due to his youth, his emotions tend to run high and are immediately reflected in his expressions and words. He does not hesitate to use whatever means necessary to make an arrest, displaying violent behavior such as pointing his gun at Hodaka Morishima when he resists, or slamming Hodaka’s face onto the floor. When he requested Hodaka’s voluntary cooperation at a love hotel, he twisted Hodaka's arm; at an abandoned building in Yoyogi, he even pointed his gun at the unarmed Keisuke Suga, showing his rough and aggressive side. However, his lack of caution causes him to make mistakes, such as allowing Hodaka to escape.
