Takai

A young male detective conducting investigations alongside Yasui. According to the police ID shown in the story, his full name is Takai Takashi, an Assistant Inspector with a pompadour hairstyle. He has a strong sense of duty as a police officer, but due to his youth, he tends to let his emotions show easily through his expressions and words. He is willing to use any means necessary to make an arrest, including aiming a gun at a resisting Hodaka and violently slamming his face to the floor. Furthermore, he demonstrates a rough side by twisting Hodaka's arm when requesting voluntary cooperation at a love hotel and pointing a gun at an unarmed Keisuke in an abandoned building in Yoyogi. However, he also has some shortcomings, as evidenced by his failure in allowing Hodaka to escape.
