A soldier of the Survey Corps. Known for his pompadour hairstyle. During the Titan invasion within Wall Rose, he was entrusted by Mike with the task of identifying the breach in the wall as part of the southern squad. He has a boisterous personality and a rough style of using the vertical maneuvering equipment, but he can make calm decisions during peacetime. After joining up with Nanaba and the western squad, he rested at the ruins of Utgard Castle, where he engaged in battle with the Titans that suddenly appeared. Although he slew many Titans, he was exhausted after the fierce battle and, in his final moments, reached for a bottle of liquor but was unable to drink it. He was devoured by a Titan while crying out. The liquor bottle he held at that time was empty because Christa had used it to treat Reiner's injuries.
