Introduction

Edit
The 26th prince of the Bengal Kingdom. 17 years old. A key figure in the "Upside-Down Hanging Incident" arc.
A free-spirited young man who has grown up without any inconvenience due to his status as a prince. Although he can be selfish, there is no malice in him, and he has a simple nature, easily taking others at their word and quickly changing his stance. He is curious and shows interest in anything new he sees. He comes to England under the circumstances mentioned later and, after being intimidated by Sebastian and learning about Ciel's past, begins to question his own way of life, which until now had been without inconvenience. He tends not to read the room, which annoys Ciel, but his feelings for Ciel are sincere, and he sometimes makes requests based on his status as a "prince." Due to his royal upbringing, he has received an excellent education from a young age, finding the lessons at prestigious schools "too easy" and is known for his broad knowledge. He also quickly understands and absorbs new information, leading Ciel to describe him as "a versatile person, if one overlooks his low mental age."
He appears in the "Upside-Down Hanging Incident" arc, coming to England to search for his beloved woman, Mina, who was taken away by an English noble. He meets Ciel and others who are investigating the upside-down hanging incident and decides to cooperate with the investigation. He is deeply shocked by the betrayal of Agni, who was supposed to be loyal to him, but after being advised by Sebastian and Ciel, as mentioned above, he reflects on his way of life and grows. Eventually, he learns about Agni's purpose and the truth about Mina, and despite suffering from heartbreak, he decides to accept the outcome. He then attempts to become "a good, independent man" by staying at the Phantomhive mansion, but Ciel, annoyed by this, cleverly deceives him and assigns him to manage the Phantomhive family's townhouse, where he moves.
In the "Public School Arc," he enrolls in Weston College at Ciel's request as a pawn for revenge against Maurice. Due to his background, he is assigned to the Scarlet Fox dormitory as planned, and while his innocence initially thwarts Ciel's intentions, he ultimately plays a role in Maurice's downfall. He also participates as a key player in the cricket tournament in the latter half of the arc (cricket is also a popular sport in India) and performs well.
In the "Blue Cult Arc," he is attacked by someone (the real Ciel) while at the townhouse, and is deeply shocked when Agni is killed protecting him, vowing revenge.
TV Anime Version
In the second season, Sebastian informs him of Ciel's memory loss, and he vows to act so that it won't be revealed. However, upon their reunion, he cries and hugs him, with Agni desperately trying to cover up.
