Akiho Shinomoto

A transfer student in Sakura's class who appears in the Clear Card arc. Blood type O. Born on September 18. A girl who loves reading, she traveled through various countries such as Hong Kong, France, Germany, Italy, and the UK before coming to Japan, collecting books from different countries. She claims the reason for coming to Japan was because there was a book she desperately wanted. The house she currently lives in was once the residence of Eriol. The study in the house stores books collected by her family. Like Sakura, she dislikes konnyaku, and they bonded over this. She shares many similarities with Sakura, such as height and physique. She is good at singing and joined the chorus club at the suggestion of Tomoyo and others. She speaks politely even to her classmates (she says, "this is what I studied"). She believes Yamazaki's tall tales. She has feelings for Kaito and often blushes around him.

Her true identity is a human turned into a 'forbidden magical tool' by the British magic association and her family. Born into a family with strong magical power, Akiho herself had no magical power and couldn't use magic, leading to disappointment from her family. Her parents, who had the power of foresight, couldn't foresee her "death," and there were no children of her age around her, resulting in a difficult childhood (commonly known as neglect). A "blank magic book" was embedded in her, and she was made into a living magic book by having her read all kinds of magic books, engraving their contents into her being. Her travels around the world are due to the magic association and her family's plan, judging it more efficient to gather all the magic books from various countries to themselves.

In the anime version, she is the person in the robe who appears in Sakura's dreams (in the original work, it is a different person). She uses magic while asleep (such as barriers that restrict movement, flying glass orbs, emitting flames, and launching numerous fireballs).
