Walter Lindstedt comes from the Lindstedt family, an old noble Britannian house that relocated to Hokkaido as aides to the imperial family.

He served under Shelly, who married into the imperial family.

His family, along with the Luxembourg and Kirkwayne families, supports the emperor and the special regions in Japan.

His skills as a combat pilot are unknown.

But Walter is believed to have strong abilities in unit leadership and managing internal affairs.

He is more gifted at guiding teams and running things behind the scenes than fighting on the battlefield.

Motivated by loyalty to his late master Shelly and now Sakya, he decides to support Sakura behind the scenes against Noland von Lüneberg's harsh rule.

Assault on the Palace

When the mysterious machine Loki attacks the special district, Walter helps Sakura escape through underground passages.

He receives permission from Catherine and activates a Knightmare Frame to escape the palace.

Later, he leads loyal forces to support Sakura's orders, aiding the allied forces in their battle against Loki.

Aftermath

Walter survives the chaos, and although he is not seen in the epilogue, it is suggested he continues to support Sakuya Sumeragi after she is crowned emperor in Hokkaido.
