Ito Nishimiya

Appears in the high school arc. She is the grandmother of Shouko and Yuzuru. She is the greatest supporter who respects the individuality of her granddaughters, and is especially adored by Yuzuru. The camera that Yuzuru owns was also given to her by the grandmother. She skipped senior citizen meetings to attend sign language classes and learned sign language, allowing her to communicate with Shouko. Although her daughter (the mother of Shouko and Yuzuru) harshly tells her not to spoil the grandchildren, she understands her daughter's true intentions and actually serves as an emotional support. She is mainly responsible for preparing dinner for the Nishimiya family. She suddenly passes away one day, but she left a letter for Yuzuru before her death, conveying the true intentions of the sisters' mother, who tries to act strong and strict. She only appears in the main story in chapter 29, which depicts shortly before her death, and mainly appears in flashback scenes and side stories that depict the past of the Nishimiya family.
