Rin Okumura

The protagonist of this work, a boy born as a half-human, half-demon offspring of Satan. He is 15 years old, born on December 27, with blood type A. He is 173 cm tall and weighs 63 kg. He is a student in class 1-D at True Cross Academy High School. His special skill is cooking, but he is very poor at studying.

After the death of his foster father, Shirou, who was possessed by Satan, he knocks on the doors of the True Cross Order and enrolls in the academy to become an exorcist and "punch Satan," avenging Shirou. He joins the Exorcism Cram School and aims to become a Paladin to prove the righteousness of Shirou, who gave him life, using the Kurikara sword as his main weapon, aspiring to be a Knight.

During a summer camp, his true identity is revealed when he uses flames to protect other cram school students from an ambush by Amaimon. He is taken in for disciplinary interrogation by the Order, but the matter is dropped under certain conditions, including passing the exorcist certification exam six months later. Initially shunned by all students except Izumo and Renzo, he later reconciles with everyone and renews their bonds when heading to subdue the Impure King. However, after causing a rampage with his flames during a mediation of a dispute between the Suguro family, his execution is decided but is currently on hold due to the chaos within the Order caused by the Illuminati's scheming.

Early in the new year, when Yukio is detained by the Order, he tries to retrieve him with the help of his classmates but is rejected and shot in the head. Furthermore, Satan, possessing Yukio's left eye, breaks his Kurikara sword, causing Rin's demonic heart to revert to his body, leading to his body dying once before being resurrected in a state housing complete flames. He nearly goes berserk but regains his self-awareness and, to confront his past which he had been avoiding, asks Mephisto to travel back in time. Learning that he had injured many exorcists immediately after his birth, he is shocked and believes he should not have been born, but understanding that his foster father and mother were desperately trying to protect him, he heads back to Yukio. After reuniting, they reconcile by exchanging honest feelings through their fists.
