Bassdrum

Bassdrum is a stocky, middle-aged man with a heavyset physique.

His defining features include thick lips, a prominent, large green split beard, and green hair styled to match.

In his powered-up form, his beard and hair stand on end, his body becomes muscular, and he gains bone-like shoulder armor with bass clef marks on both sides of his face.

His final monstrous form amplifies these changes: his skin turns bright green, his body grows gigantic and muscular, his hands and feet become clawed, a short white tail appears at his waist, and bird-skull shoulder pads adorn his figure.

Bassdrum is especially sensitive about his beard and is easily flustered if it’s disturbed.

Bassdrum is intensely arrogant and brash, often calling himself "Ore-sama" to flaunt his perceived superiority.

He resents authority, especially when under the leadership of Siren, and routinely acts independently to advance his own schemes.

His overwhelming self-confidence is his undoing, leading to frequent defeats.

Despite his rough demeanor, he displays warmth toward his companions and can even act protectively.

Bassdrum’s obsessive desire for leadership intensifies once Siren leaves and he’s promoted to interim leader.

Even when not holding the reins, he tries to direct group actions, causing friction with Baritone and others.

Initially, Bassdrum frequently schemes to claim the group’s leadership, exploiting any situation to justify putting himself in charge.

After Siren’s departure, he becomes the acting leader and grows possessive of this status.

His aggressive leadership style strains his relationships, but his caring side sometimes surfaces during conflicts among the Trio the Minor members.

As a villain, Bassdrum’s strength is considerable even before his transformations.

When empowered by evil Noise, he becomes far stronger:

• Hair and beard spike upward, physique becomes noticeably more muscular.
• He gains the ability to destroy Hibiki Hōjō’s Beat Barrier in a single blow.

In his monstrous final form, Bassdrum grows even larger, develops sharp claws, gains a short white tail, and dons fearsome bird-skull shoulder armor.

He doesn’t like this monstrous appearance, despite its power boost.

Bassdrum’s relationship with Siren is filled with tension and rebellion; he rarely misses a chance to challenge or undermine her.

Baritone often voices discontent about Bassdrum’s overbearing leadership, leading to frequent arguments.

After Falsetto undergoes a transformation, Falsetto himself grows dissatisfied with Bassdrum’s attitude and rule.

Early Ambitions and Rivalries

Bassdrum is first introduced as the bass member of Trio the Minor, constantly vying for leadership and often plotting against Siren, his superior.

He rebels and operates on his own judgment frequently, trying to assert dominance.

Rise to Leadership and Power

Upon Siren’s departure, Bassdrum is appointed acting leader of Trio the Minor.

His desire to maintain control grows, leading to even more conflicts with Baritone and Falsetto.

Powered-Up Forms

From Episode 26 to Episode 36, Bassdrum is transformed by evil Noise, which dramatically strengthens him.

He adopts a more intimidating appearance, with hair and beard spiked, a heavily muscled frame, and bone-like armor.

Transformation and Discontent

From Episode 36 onward, he is further mutated by Noise’s evil power into a monstrous, frog-like creature.

Although his physical abilities are drastically increased, Bassdrum is unhappy with this form.

His overbearing actions begin to push Falsetto's patience to the limit.

Redemption and Rebirth

In Episode 42, Bassdrum comes into contact with the "Cure Module" and loses the evil within him.

However, Noise re-brainwashes him until the following episode, where Mephisto releases him from evil’s hold.

Bassdrum regains his true self and a kind heart, turning over a new leaf.

Ultimate Sacrifice and Return

In Episode 46, Bassdrum protects the Suite PreCure team from being absorbed by Noise, sacrificing himself in the process.

Thanks to the team's perseverance, he is revived in the series finale.
