Sharon Fierstein is a female character from Haré+Guu, an Indian-born woman who is Weda’s mother, the late Alan’s wife, and Haré’s grandmother.
Sharon Fierstein is the mother of Weda and the grandmother of Haré.
She is originally from India.
She normally carries herself with elegance and refinement, but she also has a harsh side.
When she becomes angry, her personality can change dramatically.
She is often bedridden because she appears to be suffering from an illness.
Even so, she remains deeply concerned about Weda, though she rarely says so openly.
Sharon is gentle and dignified on the surface, yet she can be severe when pushed.
That contrast makes her a memorable presence in the family.
She also has a tendency to be easily swayed by circumstances.
This trait is said to have been inherited by Haré.
In the second contest over Weda, Sharon had become so exasperated by Weda’s free-spirited behavior that she gave up trying to control the situation.
Together with Haré, she responded in a throwaway manner that Weda should simply live however she liked.
When Alan disowned Weda, Sharon was unable to protect her daughter because of the weakness of her position as a wife.
As a result, Weda came to hate her mother even more than her father.
This emotional wound remained between them for a long time.
Later, thanks to Haré’s actions, the relationship between mother and daughter was restored.
Although Sharon worries about Weda, she does not express those feelings directly.
That quiet concern is part of what defines her as a character.
