I'izuka

A man who served as an inspector among the Ishin Shishi from the Choshu faction. He refers to himself as "I" and has a friendly and humorous personality. In reality, he was an informant for the Yaminobu, secretly passing information about the manslayer Battousai to the Shogunate. Realizing that his true identity had been exposed, he attempted to escape, but was killed by Makoto Shishio on the orders of Katsura Kogorō.
