Performance Treasure - Hisashi Kujo / Seifu Umi, Matsutake - Takumiya Takebe

Mid-level spy. Height 190cm, weight 120kg. Born in July 1848, 31 years old. From Kumamoto Prefecture. Cancer, blood type O. Favorite food: Mentaiko. Refers to himself as "Ore."

A fire technique user with an impulsive personality. His body is obese to accommodate oil bags for flamethrower use in his stomach. He also carries a barrel for refueling. During the attack on the Kamiya Dojo, he faced off against Kenshin and Sanosuke. He gained an advantage over Sanosuke with a surprise flamethrower attack but was easily defeated by Kenshin. Sanosuke, having seen through the trick, pulled out the oil bag with a special attack, and although he attempted to fight barehanded, he was no match for Sanosuke's fists and was defeated. Later, he was bedridden with Hekimi, but sensing danger when Kanryu used a Gatling gun, he rushed to the battlefield. He sacrificed himself to protect Aoshi, dying from Kanryu's rotary machine gun (in the original work and the second anime adaptation, he is shot in the head, but in the first anime adaptation, he is shot in the torso), which led to an attack by Hekimi hidden in the barrel.

Revised in the Complete Edition Volume 3: His appearance includes an oil tank and a mask for flame control. Instead of using a flint, he sprays oil mist through a torch held in his hand to release flames. This design was also used in the Kinema version.

Techniques

Flame Breath (Kaen Toiki)

Uses the oil bag in his stomach to pass oil, igniting it with a flint and the two remaining front teeth to breathe fire.

Extreme Flame Breath (Kyokudai Kaen Toiki)

An enhanced version of "Flame Breath." In the first anime adaptation, the name is "Gokudai Kaen Toiki."

Flame Fist (Kaen Ken)

The name is from the second anime adaptation. A fist technique used against Sanosuke.
