Hinata Kawamoto

The second daughter of the Kawamoto family. She first appears as a second-year middle school student, advances to third year from volume 5 of the manga, and enters Komahashi High School, which Rei attends, in volume 9. As of the first season of the anime, she is 150 centimeters tall. Unlike her sister, she has a petite and delicate build. Initially, she had twin tails, but changed to a bob cut upon entering high school. She is often called "Hina" or "Hina-chan" in the story.

She is a reliable person who takes care of her younger sister, helps at her grandfather's shop, and assists with household chores, and has a kind and considerate personality. According to Rei, she is a girl who is "active" in every sense, becoming energetic, gloomy, or angry. However, she also has a sensitive side, such as not showing her weaknesses to her family. She was stubborn about not accepting repeated suggestions from Tsugumi to date Rei, but later, in volume 15 of the manga, she accepts Rei's second confession.

She defended Chiho Sakura from bullying, which then made her a target of bullying herself, but tearfully shouted, "What I did was definitely not wrong!" which helped Rei overcome his past emotional scars.

In high school, she joins the "Handmade Club" and makes a friend named Tsugumi. Like her sister, she plans to take over the Mikazuki-dou in the future.

Her straightforward personality is inspired by Monkey D. Luffy from "ONE PIECE," as commented by the author.

As of the beginner's edition of the fanbook, it is revealed that she thinks of Rei more as a younger brother than an older brother.
