The narrator in "Prologue." A lively young man running a rickshaw business in the foreign settlement of Yokohama. Commonly known as "Dankichi the Rickshaw Man." He is well-versed in the realities of the foreign settlement and is one of the greatest supporters of his benefactor, Elder. He is also strong in fights, capable of knocking down multiple people in an instant.
