Introduction

Edit
The protagonist of this work, first appearing at the age of 26. During his student days, he became an apprentice to Kase, the owner of the Roppongi bar "Kaze," aspiring to become a bartender. Although he passed the entrance exam for a prestigious university, he chose not to enroll and instead went to France alone. There, he won a cocktail contest organized by the European Food Association, becoming the first Asian to serve cocktails to VIPs from various countries. The taste of his cocktails is referred to as "the glass of God." He served as the chief bartender at the Ritz Hotel in Paris before returning to Japan.
He thoroughly separates his work and private life, as well as his demeanor inside and outside the bar counter, switching between on and off. The sophisticated adult bartender he presents at the bar counter and the childish, playful side he shows elsewhere seem like two completely different people. Even if he is facing doubts and confusion, he never lets his customers see it.
Though still young, he understands the essence of being a bartender both mentally and physically, often explaining this in the story. At the same time, he is acutely aware of his own immaturity, reflecting on it and never forgetting to be grateful to his customers, making him a diligent learner.
He helps solve many of his customers' emotional problems through cocktails. It's not uncommon for customers, once their issues are resolved, to return with new problems. He believes that "there are no bad customers for a bartender," often taking on troublesome customers referred by other bars.
After returning to Japan, he wanted to explore various bars and, after visiting Ginza Lapin and Bar Higashiyama, became the owner of the bar "Eden Hall," managing it alone. At the strong request of Taizo Kurushima, he moved to the hotel bar "Eden Hall" inside Hotel Cardinal.
At Cardinal, he met his first apprentice, Tsubasa, and decided to own his bar when Eden Hall was about to close. He opened "Eden Hall R&T" in the darkness of Roppongi, where Bar Kaze once stood.
His late father was Genichi Sasakura, once known as "the Yokai of Nagatacho."
After work, he often goes to a standing bar or eats gyoza.
He also influenced Ren Sajima, the protagonist of the sequels "Bartender à Paris" and "Bartender à Tokyo."
In the anime, at 26 years old, he manages the bar "Eden Hall" alone, known as the bartender of "the glass of God." Since the setting is always Eden Hall, he only shows his gentlemanly and sophisticated bartender side. He serves various cocktails suited to his customers, enchanting them with many "wonders" and healing their emotional wounds.
His birthday is October 10, 1978.
