Kiato first appears as an opponent to Asta when the Sea Temple tests intruders.

During the attack on the Sea Temple by Vetto of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, the situation shifts drastically.

Kiato stops fighting against Asta and instead joins forces with him to defend the temple.

Together with the newly arrived Kahono, Kiato launches a coordinated assault against Vetto.

Their teamwork allows them to put up strong resistance, combining Kiato’s dance blades with Kahono’s support.

Despite their efforts, they are ultimately defeated by Vetto’s overwhelming power.

In the battle’s climax, Kiato suffers a severe injury and has his right leg cut off.

Kiato’s lost leg is a pivotal moment for his character, threatening both his life and his identity as a dancer.

However, Asta later returns from the Witch’s Forest with a special medicine created by the Witch Queen.

This medicine contains the Witch Queen’s curse-destroying blood sealed within a cocoon-like vessel.

Using this miraculous concoction, Kiato’s right leg is reattached and restored.

Thanks to this recovery, Kiato gains the chance to dance and fight once again.

His regained leg symbolizes not just physical healing, but the revival of his dreams and his bond with Kahono and their allies.
