Katsuki Bakugou

Izuku Midoriya's childhood friend with spiky beige hair and red eyes with sanpaku. A male student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, from Shizuoka Prefecture.

Called "Kacchan" by Izuku. He refers to his classmates using nicknames based on their characteristics.

He has a violent and aggressive personality, obsessed with "being number one" and "always winning," and has a strong sense of self-esteem. On the other hand, he stubbornly refuses help from others, seeing it as being inferior to them.

He possesses a powerful "Quirk" and excels in its application, demonstrating outstanding combat sense. Although he is prickly towards everyone, he judiciously moderates his actions to avoid putting himself at a disadvantage, often being called "petty" by other characters.

For his hero name, he suggested outrageous names like "King of Explodo-Kills" and "Lord Explosion Murder," which were rejected by Midnight during the review.

His hero costume, as per his request, is "all dynamite." The gauntlets, inspired by hand grenades and made of absorbent sheets, store his sweat and can detonate with maximum power without limits. The equipment on his waist can turn into makeshift grenades by storing sweat. The gauntlets are equipped with pins, which, when removed after accumulating sweat, cause a tremendous explosion in front of them. For close combat, there are metal fittings on his knees for knee strikes.

A genius from a young age, he excels in everything and sees himself as the best, aspiring to surpass All Might, whom he idolizes, and become a greater hero. He has bullied Izuku, who he derogatorily calls "Deku," from their childhood, considering him "Quirkless" and treating him condescendingly. After realizing that Izuku's "Quirk" was given by All Might, and blaming himself for All Might's downfall due to his own kidnapping, he confronts Izuku with these issues in a serious battle after the provisional license exam. After hearing the full circumstances, including the secret of OFA from All Might, he resolves anew to become the number one hero. Since then, his attitude towards Izuku hasn't changed much, but All Might noted that he has become more like a rival.

"Quirk": Explosion

He can produce sweat similar to nitroglycerin from his palms and detonate it, using it for propulsion as well.

The explosive power increases with the amount of sweat, becoming more potent the more he moves. In winter, the cold makes it difficult to sweat, affecting his performance.

However, there is a limit to the explosive power, and using maximum firepower causes pain in his palms and damages him as well.
