Alma

Historia's biological mother. Originally one of the servants of the Reiss family, she had a relationship with Rod Reiss and gave birth to the illegitimate child, Historia. However, she never became Rod's legal wife or concubine, so she lived as a kept mistress on a farm within the Reiss family territory, along with her parents and Historia. She considered her uncertain status and treatment as an outcast to be unfortunate, blaming the existence of her illegitimate daughter, Historia, as the cause. She completely abandoned her role as a mother and continued to harbor hatred.

In the year 845, after the Reiss family refused Grisha's plea and everyone except Rod was killed, and Wall Maria fell, Rod came to fetch her himself (Alma was not informed of the details of the incident and was agitated by the sudden visit). She was killed by Kenny of the First Interior Squad, who appeared to stop Rod's actions, by having her throat slit. To Historia, who witnessed the entire event, she left only words of resentment and rejection until the very end.
