Character Introduction

A 22-year-old male executive of the Port Mafia. He always wears a black hat and has a combative personality. He was Dazai's former partner during their Mafia days.
Birthday: April 29. Height: 160 cm, Weight: 60 kg. Blood type: B. Likes: hats, fighting, alcohol, and music. Although he enjoys fine wine, he is often depicted as getting drunk easily, indicating he is not very strong with alcohol. He is considerate of his subordinates and shows intense anger when they are killed.
He has no memories of his childhood. Rando hints that he was isolated in a secret government facility, but details are unknown. A mysterious person, who seems to have been Rando's colleague, calls him "my brother," but their blood relationship is unclear. Before joining the Mafia, he was part of a mutual aid organization called "Sheep," composed only of minors, along with Shirose (voiced by Masaaki Mizunaka / played by Ryūjirō Izaki) and Yuzuru (voiced by Yūna Mimura). Due to his overwhelming combat abilities and his joint investigation with Mafia's Dazai on "Arahabaki," he was distrusted and eventually parted ways with them to join the Port Mafia. At that time, he received a hat as a memento from Rando.
He was Dazai's partner, known as "Double Black," during their Mafia days, but he has always disliked Dazai to the point of listing him among his dislikes. He is always confrontational towards Dazai but ends up being teased by him every time.
Despite his small stature, he is a top martial artist in the Mafia, with combat abilities said to be enough to crush the Detective Agency single-handedly.
He cornered Dazai, who had infiltrated the Port Mafia, but due to Dazai's pranks, he ended up not only letting Dazai escape but also embarrassing himself by walking with an inner-thigh gait and speaking in a lady-like manner. During the Three-Way War, he temporarily teamed up with Dazai to repel the Guild duo of Steinbeck and Lovecraft.
To save the Mafia boss, who had a virus-type ability implanted in him, he revealed his confrontational stance towards the Detective Agency, understanding that there was a mastermind behind the scenes. Upon receiving a report that the Detective Agency members had infiltrated the hideout, he headed there but was blocked by Ranpo. Provoked by Ranpo, he was drawn into a novel written by Poe along with Ranpo. It seems he couldn't identify the culprit and ended up beating all the characters.
In the "Decay of Angels" incident, he appeared to rescue Kunikida and others who were cornered by Jōno and Tetchō. Later, he infiltrated Mersault in a vampiric state, killing guards one after another, and accompanied Dostoevsky in the escape game. Even when trapped in a flooding trap by Dazai's strategy, he escaped using his ability and repeatedly shot the severely injured Dazai, who was hurt by Dostoevsky's strategy. However, he was actually pretending to be a vampire to deceive Dostoevsky, and the shooting was an act using his ability. He witnessed the explosion of the helicopter carrying Dostoevsky with Dazai but later pursued Dazai, who realized Dostoevsky's true intentions, and saw the body that had transformed from Dostoevsky into another person.
"Stained with Sorrow"
He can manipulate the vector and strength of gravity on anything he touches. Using this, he can stand anywhere and freely manipulate the gravity of those he touches, depriving them of their freedom.
In the "Corruption" form, he fully unleashes his ability, and his body gradually turns black over time. This form is extremely powerful, capable of crushing tanks with bare hands and firing powerful gravity bullets by concentrating gravitons. However, it comes with the drawback of losing all reason and rampaging until death. By chanting "Thou, gloomy corruption, awaken me not again," he can enter the "Corruption" form, which can be nullified by Dazai's ability.
The ability name is derived from a poem by the character's namesake, Chūya Nakahara.
