Saigiku Jōno

The king of darkness from the "Hunting Dogs," possessing super senses that grasp everything. He is a master of interrogation, "listening" to his targets' secrets. He wears an earring on his right ear. Though blind and with his eyes always closed, his other senses are extraordinarily sharp, allowing him to hear others' heartbeats and understand their psychological state. He always speaks politely and maintains a calm demeanor, but he admits to knowing no pleasure beyond torturing others, skillfully hitting his opponent's weak points and psychologically cornering them. He has a bad habit of deliberately tormenting others to enjoy their anxiety. Originally an executive of a criminal organization, he was recruited to join the "Hunting Dogs" by Fukuchi six years ago, who recognized his exceptional hearing and abilities. In Volume 14, he disguised himself among the crowd and arrested Dazai at the racetrack. He often plays the role of the straight man among the quirky team members and openly admits his strong dislike for the easygoing Tetcho, even saying he wishes he would die immediately. However, when he visited Uzumaki to extract information on Montgomery's whereabouts from the master, he was scolded and stabbed in the leg by Tetcho, leading Tetcho to forcibly extract the information first.

He tries to persuade the captured Kunikida to join the "Hunting Dogs." When Tachihara requested a reinvestigation, he deduced Fukuchi's conspiracy from Tachihara's "lying" heartbeat. Recognizing that Atsushi Akutagawa, present at the airport with the Great Directive, was associated with the Detective Agency, he pretended to threaten her while passing a memo to have her followed. Fukuchi, revealing his true intentions, refers to him as a "Stray Dog" for not imposing his beliefs on his unit and attempts to recruit him to "Heavenly Retribution" due to his sadistic nature. However, he declines, citing the joy he finds in saving people. He attempts to escape using his ability but fails due to Akutagawa's spatial severance and Fukuchi's flaming sword, with Akutagawa ending up biting him. Notably, having realized that Akiko was watching the entire altercation, he mocks Fukuchi.

Sengoku's Tears (Sengoku no Namida)

The ability to transform oneself into a swarm of microscopic particles. In this particle state, attacks with guns or blades are virtually ineffective, allowing him to pass through tiny gaps and ventilation ducts. However, this ability has a weakness: if a significant amount of his particles are destroyed by fire or similar means, he cannot revert to human form.
