Nadeshiko Kagamihara

One of the protagonists of this work. Her birthday is March 4th. She is an innocent and lively girl who likes to admire Mount Fuji.

On the day she moved from the western part of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, near Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, to Yamanashi Prefecture, she went on a long bike ride to see Mount Fuji. However, she ended up sleeping until sunset without any preparations for bivouacking, and was saved by Rin. This incident sparked her interest in camping.

She loves both eating and cooking so much that her head is always filled with thoughts of food. According to Rin and Aoi, “she eats deliciously.” In the past, she gained weight to the point her face became round during middle school, so her sister, Sakura Kagamihara, enforced a strict diet, making her run around Lake Hamana by bicycle, which built her stamina. Despite her appearance, she is healthy and has good physical strength. She can sleep in cold places and carry heavy objects without any problems. She often brings a portable stove and a clay pot, which are not very portable, to use regularly at camping.

Her actions and behavior resemble that of a dog. She is afraid of dark roads and ghost stories.

She admires the idea of camping leisurely with everyone and joins the Outdoor Activities Club, balancing a demanding schedule of camping with Chiaki and Aoi, and camping with Rin. Sometimes, she goes camping twice in two weeks or three times a month, which Chiaki calls a “strong style.” She is honest with her emotions but also pays attention to others' feelings, able to care for them despite her cheerful demeanor. She sometimes closes the distance with Rin in a seemingly forceful, yet considerate manner. After a Christmas camping trip, she became interested in solo camping after hearing Rin talk about it and started doing it herself.

To earn money for camping, she spends her time working part-time jobs such as delivering New Year's cards during the year-end and New Year period, and later working at a soba restaurant near Minobu Station introduced by her sister Sakura (in the TV drama version, it is a Japanese cuisine restaurant).

During winter camping, to endure the cold until the camp food is ready, she wraps herself up to her face in a blanket, which Rin nicknamed “Blanket Monster” (Rin also wraps herself up, leading to the two being called the "Secret Society Blanket").

After riding the rack railway during the Oigawa camping trip, she became interested in railway vehicles, finding them cute.

In the movie, she lives alone in Akishima City, Tokyo while working as a store clerk at an outdoor equipment store. During her holidays, she not only camps but also enjoys road biking and mountain climbing.
