Chiaki Ōgaki

The head of Motosu High School's Outdoor Activities Club. Born on August 31. She is boisterous, hedonistic, and action-oriented, with a bold personality, but somewhat reckless. She always wears glasses and had long, twin-tailed hair until Episode 54 of the main series (with a long ponytail when working part-time). Afterward, she changes to medium-length hair.

She had a memorable camping experience with her family during her kindergarten years, which inspired her and Aoi to establish the Outdoor Activities Club in high school with the goal of camping with friends.

To manage the club's limited budget, she and Aoi frequently experiment with using low-cost equipment and scrap materials for outdoor activities, and she gets nosebleeds when trying to buy expensive gear. Although she tried to recruit Rin as a member, Rin found her somewhat difficult to deal with initially. However, their relationship improved as the story progressed, and she began understanding Rin's preference for solo camping, making sure not to force her.

She works part-time at a liquor store frequented by Toba, who later becomes the club's advisor.

According to Ōmachi, the advisor of the Mountain Climbing Club who looked after the Outdoor Activities Club before Toba, "Ōgaki is energetic but somewhat scatterbrained." This is highlighted in an episode where, during a sausage-grilling meetup at Ena's house, Chiaki brought a stuffer from home and tried to make sausages from pork mince but failed miserably due to poor temperature control.

She visited Nadeshiko when she caught a cold and ended up getting sick herself (although this scene is omitted in the TV anime version).

Her physical endurance is average for a high school girl, so she often gets worn out trying to keep up with the more physically fit Nadeshiko and Rin during camps.

After advancing to her second year in high school, she succeeded in recruiting Mei, a new member, allowing the club to transition from an informal club to an official club.

In the "Mizugaki Camp Recollection Arc" (Chapters 65-69 of Volume 12 of the original work), there is a scene where Chiaki hears Chikuwa (Ena's beloved dog) responding in "words" to Ena. Chiaki remarks, "Wait, this voice sounds familiar?" This moment acknowledges the fact that both characters are voiced by the same actress, Sayuri Hara, in the anime version.

Among the main characters, she is the only one whose current family structure and living environment remain completely unknown.

In the live-action TV drama, she is a fan of Hiroshi Shimamura.

In the movie, Chiaki is portrayed as having worked for an event company in Tokyo before making a U-turn career shift to the Yamanashi Prefecture Tourism Promotion Organization, where she is now responsible for the redevelopment plan of a facility that was closed a few years ago. This redevelopment is central to the movie's plot.

She enjoys drinking at an izakaya after work, and her drinking habits have earned her the nickname "Second Generation Gabu-nee."
