One of Tokyo's top large Centers. Utilizing his massive build, his powerful dunks and solid defense, which are beyond high school level, are his weapons, making him the cornerstone of Shūtoku both offensively and defensively, as well as mentally. He is a polite and strict individual, and even Midorima cannot stand up to him. On the other hand, he also shows kindness, such as being concerned about opponents he knocks down during contact plays. He holds Kiyoshi's abilities, whom he faced in middle school, in high regard.

According to Takao, he has a younger sister named Tae who does not resemble him, and she is expected to join the team next year (though it is unclear whether she hopes to be a manager or a player for the girls' basketball team).
