Commonly called "Koga." Has a sister named Akane (voiced by Rei Shimoda) who looks very similar to him.

Known for his cat-like mouth. Extremely cheerful and energetic, with a resilient spirit that doesn't falter in tough situations. Was a member of the tennis club in middle school but was inspired by Mitobe, who was in the basketball club at the same school, to start playing basketball in high school. Acts as a spokesperson for the taciturn Mitobe.

Possesses high athletic ability developed in the tennis club, but his skills and techniques are average. Therefore, he is called "Jack of all trades, master of none" and "Mr. Versatile but Mediocre." After Kuroko and Kagami joined, he became a substitute. His specialty is the all-range shot, with a decent success rate.

Once considered quitting the basketball club due to difficulty keeping up with practice, but was persuaded by Mitobe's opposition and his sister's scolding to stay.

In the match against Rakuzan, he unconsciously activated his "wild" instinct during a matchup with Mibuchi, surprising him. Although he ultimately couldn't win, it provided a clue for Hyuga to counter Mibuchi's shots.

Ranked 52nd out of 305 second-year students in the proficiency test, making him the third-best in the basketball club's second-year students, after Kiyoshi and Riko. Has no particularly strong or weak subjects.
