Hermes

The chief god of the Hermes Familia. Although he often acts in a playful manner, most of it is an act, and he is generally an elusive and inscrutable person. His name is derived from Hermes, the son of Zeus in Greek mythology, who is said to possess multiple talents.

Due to his past as a messenger for Zeus, he becomes interested in Bell and stirs up trouble in Volume 5 to probe Bell, ultimately recognizing Bell as a potential hero after he resolves the incident. During the Ishtar incident, he resolves to elevate Bell to the status of the last hero, and in the Xenos incident, he is thrilled by the unknown that surpasses even divine will in the conflict between Bell and Asterios. He prioritizes making Bell a hero above all else, sharing this goal with Freya and directly telling Bell that he will continue to support him as a well-wisher.

He calls himself a mediator and influences the story from behind the scenes. In the Xenos incident, he plots to restore Bell's fallen honor but finds himself caught between Uranus, who aims to protect the Xenos, and the Loki Familia, who aim to exterminate the Xenos and obtain the Daedalus Orb, a situation depicted in both the main story and side stories. Additionally, his behind-the-scenes involvement in the destruction of the Ishtar Familia and the Hestia Familia's first expedition is depicted in the side stories. In the "Faction War," he decides not to participate in the seemingly doomed faction alliance but secretly supports Lyu's participation and rank-up.
