Character Setting

Edit

Liliruca Arde is a major heroine in the light novel series “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”, a 15‑year‑old Pallum girl, former member of the Soma Familia and later strategist of the Hestia Familia, known by the alias “Little Marshal.”

Name: Liliruca Arde

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Race: Pallum (Dwarflike “small people”)

Height: Around 110 cm (described as “about 100 cm–class” in early text, later clarified as 110 cm)

Occupation: Adventurer (Supporter)

Former Familia: Soma Familia

Current Familia: Hestia Familia

Level: 1 → 2

Alias (Second Name): Little Marshal

Voice Actress (Anime): Maaya Uchida

Liliruca Arde, commonly called Lili, is a Pallum girl who began as a downtrodden supporter in the Soma Familia.

After a long, harsh history of exploitation, she defects and converts to the Hestia Familia, where she becomes treasurer, chief strategist, and eventually a renowned commander across Orario.

She first meets Bell Cranel as his very first party member and initially plans to swindle him.

Over time she develops deep affection and loyalty toward him, dedicating herself to supporting Bell and the Hestia Familia from the rear and through tactics.

She specializes in support work such as item carrying, drop item recovery, and battlefield logistics, wielding a crossbow and dagger‑type magic swords.

Her combat power is low compared to front‑liners, but her knowledge of the Dungeon, keen insight, and leadership skills elevate her to one of Orario’s notable tacticians.

In the main story she serves as the character who first reveals the “dark side” of Orario: corrupt familias, abusive adventurers, and the grim reality of supporters.

Later, her abilities earn her responsibility for commanding the multi‑faction alliance during the “Faction War” against the Freya Familia.

Lili starts the story profoundly distrustful of others.

As a supporter despised by many adventurers, a member of a low‑status race, and a victim of the Soma Familia’s abusive system, she learned early that trusting people meant getting hurt.

She speaks politely and attaches honorifics like “‑sama” to almost everyone, yet her words are often sharp and laced with sarcasm.

To those she considers “family,” she can be openly caustic, blunt, and teasing, even while caring deeply for them.

Lili is a hardened realist, with extremely strong vigilance and a pragmatic worldview shaped by poverty and betrayal.

However, at her core she is kind‑hearted and soft, matching the general “softies” that make up the Hestia Familia.

Within the familia she plays the role of brain and adviser, leveraging her Dungeon experience and observational skill.

Even Finn Deimne, one of the setting’s greatest tacticians, praises her as “the sharpest in the Hestia Familia” and says her thinking is similar to his.

She knows Orario’s local politics and street life intimately as the only Orario‑born member of the Hestia Familia.

In contrast, she is relatively ignorant of outside regions, and the traditions and scriptures of her own race never interested her, partly due to her miserable upbringing.

Having lived through Orario’s “Dark Age,” she is deeply frightened by the remnants of the Evilus factions.

In the mobile game “Memoria Freese,” when confronted with Evilus remnants she clings to Haruhime Sanjouno in terror, later overcompensating with almost reckless aggression once she regains her nerve.

Lili is a very small Pallum girl with chestnut‑colored hair and eyes, often likened in narration to a squirrel because of her color and quick, fidgety demeanor.

Despite her short stature, she is described as surprisingly well‑developed “in the right places.”

She typically wears gear designed for supporters: a large backpack, gloves for handling monster remains, and practical light armor.

Her overall impression is cute and childlike at first glance, which often leads others to underestimate her capability and toughness.

When Lili first meets Bell Cranel, she envies him.

She sees his good upbringing, genuine kindness, and the fact that he clearly has people who care about him, and she assumes he has been blessed in ways she never was.

At the start she plans to exploit him as just another gullible adventurer.

She tries to steal his equipment, including his “Hestia Knife” and its Hephaistos‑brand sheath, thinking of him as nothing more than a mark.

However, Bell repeatedly shows her uncalculated kindness and trust.

Even after being betrayed, he risks his life to save her from a monster “Pass Parade” set up by other Soma Familia thugs, telling her he helped her “because you’re Lili.”

This breaks through her self‑hatred and belief that she is unwanted.

She cries openly, apologizes, and from then on devotes herself to Bell as his supporter, strategist, and emotional anchor.

Lili develops strong romantic feelings and a degree of dependence on Bell.

She becomes openly jealous whenever Bell gets close to other girls and actively tries to interfere, warn, or sabotage flirtatious developments.

At the same time, she keenly recognizes that Bell’s kindness is dangerously self‑sacrificing.

When he is about to throw himself into reckless actions or be too forgiving, she often steps in to admonish him, trying to keep him alive and grounded.

When she learns Bell has fallen into the deep floors of the Dungeon, she immediately insists on going to rescue him, her will unshaken by the danger.

Although Bell appears younger and physically larger, Lili is actually one year older, and she sometimes uses this to tease him: she enjoys reminding him that she is technically his senior.

Hestia

Hestia is Lili’s current goddess and also Bell’s patron, making them both allies and romantic rivals.

They frequently get into physical scuffles over Bell, but eventually form an “armistice” and cooperate to fend off outside women chasing him.

They exchange information and coordinate “defense lines” around Bell, all while both plotting to outmaneuver the other.

Hestia calls her “Supporter‑kun” and relies heavily on her for finances and planning despite the rivalry.

Welf Crozzo

Welf Crozzo is a fellow founding member of the Hestia Familia.

At first Lili resents him for “getting between her and Bell” and for calling her “Lilisuke” in a mocking tone, but they eventually become comfortable comrades.

Welf is a notorious spender on blacksmithing and equipment, making him a constant headache for Lili the treasurer.

Despite the bickering, they trust one another deeply, especially during Dungeon expeditions and large‑scale battles.

Finn Deimne

Finn Deimne, the captain of the Loki Familia, is one of Lili’s biggest external supporters.

He is deeply moved by her courage when she risked herself to guide Bell away from a Minotaur despite her injuries.

He recognizes her tactical talent and later sees her as a junior with similar thinking patterns.

In volume 8 of the main story he even proposes marriage to her, both out of personal admiration and as a way to secure a rare capable Pallum.

Lili declines because she wants to stay by Bell’s side and support him.

Finn had anticipated that she might refuse and takes it with good grace, and they remain on friendly terms, with Lili even promising to introduce him to another good Pallum woman someday.

Tione Hiryute

Tione Hiryute, a member of the Loki Familia, once seriously considered killing Lili.

The reason: Lili had been proposed to by Finn, whom Tione is obsessively in love with.

When Tione corners her and demands to know what she thinks of Finn, Lili desperately denies romantic interest and insists she loves “another man” (Bell).

This honest confession diffuses the situation, and Lili narrowly avoids a lethal beating.

Bomb Cornwall

Bomb Cornwall is a gnome shopkeeper who runs the pawnshop “Gnome’s General Store.”

He has known Lili since her Soma Familia days and handled the sale of stolen equipment when she was still acting like a thief.

After Lili decides to quit her criminal activities, she works at his shop as a live‑in helper for a time.

Even after joining the Hestia Familia she checks on him, helping out for free when he is ill or short‑handed, showing that he is one of the few adults she truly trusts.

Daphne Lauros

Daphne Lauros becomes Lili’s mentor in command and tactics.

When the Hestia Familia rises in rank and Lili is frustrated by her lack of raw combat ability, Daphne explains how Finn himself climbed through command rather than brute strength.

This inspires Lili to focus on being a commander rather than a front‑line fighter.

Under Daphne’s guidance, she refines her leadership, and Daphne later comments that if Lili dedicates herself to strategy, she might one day rival Finn.

Luan Espel

Luan Espel is another Pallum and former member of the Apollo Familia.

After the War Game between Hestia and Apollo, fate keeps throwing them together, creating a “bad but enduring” connection.

Initially Luan harbors resentment due to the War Game’s outcome, blaming Lili and her comrades for his own misfortune.

Over time they mellow into something like acquaintances—more than strangers, less than close friends—who can at least talk without hostility.

The Galiver Brothers and Other Figures

Alfrigg Galiver, the eldest of the Galiver dwarf brothers in the Freya Familia, respects Lili as a promising fellow small‑statured warrior.

He remarks that he is glad to see a Pallum like her emerging in Orario and takes her seriously as an opponent.

During the Faction War, Lili’s tactics manage to land a blow against him and his brothers, proving her worth.

She also interacts and cooperates with many others: Ryuu Lion, Aisha Belka, Haruhime Sanjouno, Eina Tulle, Hermes, Asfi Al Andromeda, and many more, usually from the vantage point of logistics and planning.

Soma and Soma Familia Figures

Soma, Lili’s former god, once cared for her after her parents died.

However, he eventually became consumed by his divine wine “Soma,” neglecting his children, including Lili.

Lili’s suffering is largely caused by the operating system created by Zanis Lustra, the former Soma Familia captain.

Zanis exploited the Familia’s children, including Lili, forcing them into brutal money‑making schemes and blocking her attempts to leave by demanding massive “withdrawal fees.”

Canuh Belway, a beastman adventurer in the same Familia, repeatedly bullies and robs Lili.

He and his gang once try to sell her into the Pleasure District, though Chandra Icht stops this; later he abandons Lili as bait for monsters and eventually dies in a fittingly cruel way.

Chandra Icht later becomes the Soma Familia’s new captain.

Despite being part of the same abusive Familia, he shows small acts of kindness toward Lili, blocking attempts to sell her and aiding her escape from Zanis’s confinement, and later fights alongside the faction alliance in the Faction War.

The Florist Couple and Lili’s Parents

An elderly couple who run a flower shop are the first people to treat Lili with genuine kindness.

She once lives and works there, briefly experiencing a normal, warm life.

Soma Familia harassment ruins this, drawing trouble to the shop until the couple, in fear and anger, lash out and drive Lili away.

They later regret their words, but Lili chooses to stay away, believing seeing her again would be too painful for them.

Her parents were ordinary Soma Familia members who drowned in the addictive divine wine.

They forced their child to bring in money, then died in a reckless adventure, leaving Lili to survive alone as an adventurer and supporter before she was even ready.

Before the Main Story

Lili is born in the Soma Familia to Pallum parents and receives her Falna (divine blessing) early.

Since at least age three she is part of Soma’s children and forced to beg and hustle for money.

By six she is already desperate to earn more to feed her parents’ wine addiction.

Her race’s difficulty in leveling and her lack of combat talent push her into the role of supporter, carrying gear and loot rather than fighting.

Subjected to constant abuse, she eventually escapes temporarily and works in the old couple’s flower shop.

This oasis ends due to retaliation and harassment from Soma Familia adventurers, who drag trouble to the shop, resulting in the couple rejecting her in fear.

After this, Lili becomes profoundly self‑loathing, convinced she is unwanted and cursed, and slides into supporter‑turned‑thief.

With the help of the transformation magic she later acquires, she disguises herself, robs adventurers of equipment, and sells it to survive and save up for a way out of the Familia.

Early Encounters with Bell

At the start of the main story, Lili works under an adventurer named Ged Raish as his supporter.

When one of his swords goes missing due to Lili’s theft, he chases her, only for Lili to bump into Bell and use the resulting confusion to escape.

She notices Bell’s “Hestia Knife” and quickly identifies it as a valuable Hephaistos brand weapon.

Marking Bell as her next target, she later approaches him disguised as a dog‑person with her transformation magic “Cinder Ela,” offering her services as a supporter.

She successfully steals the Hestia Knife once and tries to pawn it to Bomb Cornwall.

To her shock, Bomb deems it worthless junk since only Hestia and Hephaistos understand its true value, and she then aims to also steal the branded sheath.

Her attempts bring her into contact with Ryuu Lion and Syr Flover at the Hostess of Fertility, who see through her disguise.

Syr warns Lili privately, hinting that they know more than they let on.

As Lili continues to accompany Bell into the Dungeon, she is moved by his unwavering kindness and fairness.

Yet her debts and fear of Soma Familia retribution keep pulling her back toward betrayal.

Betrayal, Rescue, and Conversion

When her fellow Soma Familia thug Canuh and his friends harass her and then collaborate with Ged Raish, Lili is cornered.

Ged exposes her true identity to Bell, and Lili, desperate, decides to commit one last big betrayal: she lures Bell into a trap, steals his Hestia Knife once more, and flees.

Ged then captures and beats her, and Canuh’s group double‑crosses him by triggering a Monster Parade (Pass Parade) of Killer Ants, intending to use Lili and Ged as sacrificial bait.

Just as Lili is about to die, Bell returns, charges into the swarm, and rescues her.

When she asks why he would save her after everything she did, Bell replies simply that he did it “because you’re Lili.”

This acceptance shatters her belief that she is worthless and unwanted, and she breaks down crying, thanking and apologizing to him from the bottom of her heart.

From then on, Lili formally joins Bell’s party as his supporter.

They survive the one‑horned Minotaur on the 9th floor and the “Black Goliath” on the 18th, strengthening her bond with Bell and the rest of the future Hestia Familia.

Later, during the conflict with the Apollo Familia, the Soma Familia is drawn in through Zanis’s schemes.

Zanis blackmails Lili, forcing her back into captivity and demanding an enormous “withdrawal fee” to ever let her go.

Hestia, Bell, Welf, and their allies storm the Soma Familia manor to rescue her.

With Chandra Icht’s subtle help, Lili escapes her cell, confronts Soma directly, and demands to leave the Familia.

Soma offers her a cup of his legendary divine wine, knowing its almost irresistible allure.

Lili manages to resist its charm—demonstrating how far she has grown beyond her parents and her old self—and this move finally awakens Soma from his drunken detachment.

Recognizing her resolve, Soma grants her release, and Lili formally converts to the Hestia Familia.

Soon after, she orchestrates a daring infiltration during the War Game against the Apollo Familia by transforming into Luan Espel, sabotaging them from within and securing Hestia’s victory—while simultaneously ruining Luan’s life with Apollo.

The Xenolos Incident

When Bell brings the intelligent monster girl Wiene into their lives, Lili reacts negatively.

To her, monsters are deadly threats, and the idea of protecting one contradicts everything she has learned.

However, seeing Wiene persecuted and suffering despite having harmed no one reminds Lili of her own past as a despised, expendable child.

Moved by empathy and by Bell’s unwavering compassion, she eventually accepts Wiene and the other Xenos.

When Bell agonizes over opposing the Loki Familia to protect the Xenos, Lili tells him she doesn’t want to see a Bell who abandons someone in need.

She supports his decision despite understanding the enormous risk.

In the Xenos’ return‑to‑Dungeon operation, Lili uses Cinder Ela to transform into Alulu and even Finn, deceiving adventurers and Raul Nord to create openings.

In the side story “Sword Oratoria,” it is revealed that Finn sees through the ploy and has Anakity threaten Lili into cooperating in a separate plan to lure out Evilus remnants by having her transform into a Redcap named Let.

When Hermes manipulates the Xenos leaders, including Lido and Gross, into sacrificing themselves to protect Bell, Lili intervenes.

Using a magical invisibility cloak (Reverse Veil), she smuggles the Xenos away during the chaos caused by Asterius’s appearance, then angrily scolds them alongside Welf for nearly making all of her efforts meaningless.

The First Expedition and the Deep Floors

During the Hestia Familia’s first major expedition, Lili serves as supporter and logistical officer.

The party quickly encounters an irregular: a strengthened Moss Huge in the lower floors that isolates Bell from the group.

Lili nearly panics at Bell being separated, but Daphne and Aisha admonish her, reminding her that she must trust in Bell and handle the situation as a commander.

She resolves to stand firm as “Bell’s supporter” who will never choose the path of giving up.

She then coordinates the others as a field commander, but their lack of experience relative to Finn is exposed by the monster’s unexpected tactics.

Rescued adventurers like the dwarf Dormul and the elf Luvis urge Lili to abandon them to survive, but she refuses, remembering Bell’s refusal to abandon her.

Bell eventually returns just in time with enhanced firepower.

Lili instantly grasps his plan when he calls her name and uses magical swords, the Goliath Robe, and other tools to perfectly set up his massive Firebolt bombardment to defeat the Moss Huge.

Soon after, they are drawn into an even worse disaster: the serial killings in the middle floors, the summoning of the Juggernaut, and the forced descent of Bell and Ryuu Lion into the deep floors.

While Bell and Ryuu fight for their lives in the 37th floor, Lili leads the surviving party members, coordinating the battle against the floor boss Amphisbaina and organizing a nearly impossible rescue.

Through Welf’s unprecedented forging of magic swords inside the Dungeon, help from the Hostess of Fertility, and the cooperation of the Xenos, Lili’s leadership enables them to overcome both the Juggernaut and the deep floor hazards.

They finally reach the 37th floor and rescue Bell and Ryuu.

Following this expedition, Lili at last levels up to Level 2, an extremely rare achievement for a Pallum.

She celebrates so hard that her usual composed persona collapses, showing just how much the advancement means to her.

Ranking, Debt, and “Failure Report”

Because the Hestia Familia is still technically a tiny, “low‑tier” familia, reaching the 37th floor of the Dungeon is far beyond what’s normally expected.

Worried about drawing excessive attention and political pressure, Lili classifies the expedition as a “failure” in the official Guild report.

With Hestia’s and the other members’ approval, she downplays their achievements to keep the Familia safer.

Only Eina Tulle learns the truth from Bell, and she is shocked and troubled, but keeps the secret.

Freya’s Mass Charm and Memory Tampering

During the “Goddess Festival,” Lili and her friends search for Syr Flover, only to be ambushed by Freya’s first‑class adventurers.

Lili tries to fight back, even attacking Alfrigg with a dagger‑type magic sword, but he easily disarms her, breaks her arm, and knocks her out.

Freya then unleashes a citywide charm spell that rewrites people’s memories and perceptions.

As a result, Lili’s memories of Bell are altered, and when “Freya’s child” Bell visits the Familia home, she coldly rebuffs him with snide politeness, not recognizing him as her Bell.

In the Dungeon, however, Lili starts to sense that something is wrong.

Their party composition feels insufficient for how far they venture, and she wonders how she ever leveled up under such conditions.

She repeatedly feels that “someone important is missing,” to the point of shedding tears without knowing why.

Each time, the charm forcibly resets her doubts, but the emotional dissonance lingers beneath the surface.

When Freya’s charm finally breaks, all of Lili’s suppressed memories and guilt crash back.

She is overwhelmed by self‑hatred for how she treated Bell under the charm’s influence, nearly driving herself into hysterics, until Welf snaps her focus back by warning: “If we don’t hurry, Bell will be devoured body and soul by the Goddess of Beauty.”

Furious in a wholly different way, Lili rushes to reach Bell.

When she finally reunites with him, she throws herself at him in tears, apologizing over and over, only regaining her composure when Bell asks for her help in the upcoming Faction War.

The Faction War and the “Little Marshal”

For the war against the Freya Familia, Bell asks Lili to serve as supreme strategist of the faction alliance.

Eina Tulle provides detailed information on the Freya Familia, but the more Lili studies it, the more dismayed she becomes at the overwhelming power gap.

Just then, Finn Deimne arrives at the Hearthfire Mansion.

He offers to help the Hestia Familia by providing insider knowledge of the Freya Familia gleaned from years of conflict and personally coaching Lili in high‑level command.

Determined not to let Freya take Bell, Lili accepts.

Under Finn’s guidance, she refines her plans for the War Game‑style Faction War, aiming to win not through brute strength but through tactics, coordination, and exploiting the enemy’s constraints.

During the Faction War, Lili commands the entire allied force.

However, Hedin Selland’s “God Hiding” strategies defy conventional expectation, forcing the alliance into a full‑scale battle earlier than planned.

As allied familias are gradually defeated and the alliance shrinks to just four remaining, Lili keeps adjusting.

She notices that Hedin is suspiciously holding back his magic, which matches what Bell had told her about him and suggests that he may be planning to defect.

When Ryuu enters the field and Hedin finally turns on Freya’s side, the tide begins to shift.

Lili immediately orders Aisha’s unit to fall back to avoid being used as a magical shield by Hedin’s spells, preserving key assets for the final clash.

She then goes to the front herself to help devise a plan to defeat the four Galiver brothers.

Using Black Mist to blind them, she transforms via Cinder Ela into their ally Bering, while the real Bering is immobilized by the gravity magic of the elf mage Naaza’s counterpart, then uses “Bering’s voice” to mislead and break their coordination.

Alfrigg eventually sees through the disguise and strikes Lili, forcing her transformation to cancel and leaving her badly injured.

Even so, she uses Burst Oil to blast the brothers apart, successfully isolating them for individual defeats.

Later, when she uses an “Eye Crystal” to report the situation, Allen Fromel’s magic attack sends her flying and destroys the crystal.

Unaware of the loss of the crystal, she still begs “someone, anyone” to reach the “House of the Gods,” and thanks to her skill Command Call, her plea reaches Welf, who shares the same blessing and is able to crawl close enough to contribute to the final victory with anti‑magic spells.

After the war, her performance earns her the official alias “Little Marshal.”

At the next Denatus (gods’ council), the gods agree on this nickname, and Hestia finds it adorably reminiscent of Bell’s own early second name.

Later Activities and the Rescue of Loki Familia

After the Faction War, Ryuu formally converts to the Hestia Familia.

When Ryuu jokingly suggests the alias “Ryuu Cranel” for herself, Hestia explodes in outrage, and Lili jumps in on Hestia’s side, turning the house into a chaotic battlefield.

When Syr (now revealing herself as Freya’s vessel) tips them off that Bell and Eina are having dinner together, Lili joins Hestia and the others in storming the restaurant to interrogate them.

Ryuu then casually asks Bell for his “answer” to her war‑time pseudo‑confession, turning the scene into an even worse romantic train wreck.

Later, during the “Faction Internships,” Bell spends some time in the Dungeon City’s Academy environment.

When he returns and comments incisively on Mikoto Yamato’s combat style before Lili can, she realizes he has developed a “tactical eye” of his own, which both impresses and annoys her.

She warns Bell and Ryuu not to “get too high school romantic” (in spirit), clearly unwilling to lose ground in her personal race for Bell’s heart.

Bell, confused, wonders if “青春”‑style romantic youth has suddenly become a trend in Orario.

In volume 20’s Denatus, Lili’s “Little Marshal” second name is formally ratified.

Hestia is proud, seeing it as proof of Lili’s growth and as a parallel to Bell’s journey.

During the later Loki Familia Rescue Operation, Hedin selects Lili by name to serve as field commander of the Defense Force on the surface.

Lili effectively dominates the Guild personnel and even members of the Freya Familia, bending them to her plans with sheer logic and force of personality.

Her command is so intense that Guild employees develop a mild trauma around her, both in awe and fear.

The rescue operation is a success, but the retreat phase pushes her abilities to their absolute limit, and she collapses from exhaustion once Bell and the others safely reach the 18th floor.

Her near‑miraculous battlefield control earns her the unofficial title of “shadow MVP” of the operation.

When Bell and company finally return to the surface, she literally crawls toward Babel Tower to greet them, only to explode in fresh jealousy when Horn tackles Bell in a hug, prompting yet another clash between Lili and Ryuu.

Astraea Record Appearance

In the “Astraea Record” storyline, set about ten years before the main series, an 8‑year‑old Lili appears during the Dark Age.

When Evilus launches attacks, she is nearly killed but is saved by Bete Loga and a woman named Selenia from the Visar Familia, who escort her to a shelter.

This cameo shows that even as a small child, Lili was already caught in Orario’s violence and chaos.

It also suggests early connections between her and figures like Bete, long before she meets them again in Bell’s era.

Lili’s primary role is that of supporter and commander, not front‑line fighter.

She excels at managing supplies, carrying heavy loads, collecting loot, and observing battlefield conditions.

She fights with a small crossbow and dagger‑type magic swords.

Her direct combat ability is modest, especially compared to high‑level adventurers, so she stays in the rear and focuses on support fire, traps, and coordination.

After deciding to specialize in command, she transitions into a tactical role, analyzing the battlefield and giving orders.

Under Daphne’s training, her command skills become extraordinary, and she is repeatedly credited with saving the party by making the right calls at critical moments.

Her leveling to Level 2 greatly improves her stats, allowing her to handle lower‑floor monsters more comfortably.

Combined with her support‑oriented skills and items, she becomes a uniquely effective force multiplier.

Level 1 (Final Pre‑Level‑Up Status)

Level: 1

Strength: H106

Endurance: H189

Dexterity: G298

Agility: E468

Magic: D500

Level 2 (Around Volume 18)

Level: 2

Strength: I4

Endurance: I37

Dexterity: I11

Agility: I21

Magic: I7

Development Ability: Abnormal Resistance (I)

Note: Falna values reset upon level up, which is why her stats revert to low letter ranks at Level 2.

She then begins growing again from that new baseline.

Enshita Strength (Aeter Assist / “Under‑the‑Stage Strength”)

This skill boosts Lili’s abilities when she is carrying a certain amount of equipment weight.

The heavier the load, the greater the proportional bonus.

It effectively allows her to carry massive amounts of gear relative to her small body.

For a supporter whose main job is transport and logistics, this “mule skill” is incredibly valuable.

Command Call

This skill manifests after the expedition that reaches the deep floors.

When Lili shouts, the reach and clarity of her voice are magically extended, with the amplification scaling according to the battle’s scale.

In chaotic mass battles, this allows her to issue orders that cut through the noise and reach allies across wide areas.

It also has a secondary function: she can establish remote mental connection with others who share the same blessing (Falna) under certain conditions, with the maximum range scaling with her level.

This is how her desperate plea reaches Welf during the Faction War after her Eye Crystal is destroyed.

Command Call clearly grows out of her desire to support Bell and her friends as a commander, paralleling Finn’s own similar skill “Command Howl.”

Abnormal Resistance

When she levels up to 2, Lili can choose between Development Abilities.

She could have taken something like “Mixing” for potion brewing but instead chooses Abnormal Resistance, focusing on her role as a supporter who needs to endure traps, poisons, and status ailments.

This allows her to withstand many status effects better than a normal Level 2 adventurer.

It fits her image as the tough, practical backbone of the party, able to keep moving even under nasty conditions.

Cinder Ela

Type: Transformation magic

Chant: “Your marks are mine. My marks are mine.”

Unchant (Cancel Phrase): “The toll of twelve o’clock resounds.”

Cinder Ela allows Lili to transform into anyone with a roughly similar build.

The resulting form depends heavily on her mental image during casting; vague images lead to failure, while clear images create accurate disguises.

As her Magic stat increases, she becomes able to transform clothes and equipment to some extent as well.

Transforming into beast‑people enhances senses like smell and hearing to match the new form.

Lili first uses Cinder Ela to impersonate a dog‑person and approach Bell.

After formally joining his party, she continues using that form to keep the Soma Familia from realizing she is alive until she can settle things with them.

She can also transform into monsters, such as an Almiraj (one‑horned rabbit).

From the viewpoint of monster Xenos like Lido, her Almiraj form is considered extremely beautiful, and when compared to the Almiraj Xenos Alulu, they are said to look like sisters.

In the “Memoria Freese” pre‑wedding story, Lili uses Cinder Ela in increasingly absurd ways.

To complete a quest from Finn, she transforms not only into Finn himself to evade Tione, but also into Syr and even into Bell—despite the big difference in body size.

She explains that Asfi Al Andromeda created an item to amplify the magic’s effects “for just such an occasion,” making this extreme transformation possible.

Bell, upon hearing this, mutters that it’s “super convenient—and that item will never show up again,” poking fun at the plot device nature of the tool.

The name and concept obviously reference Cinderella and the midnight deadline motif built into the unchant.

It is one of the most versatile non‑combat spells in the series, central to Lili’s espionage, infiltration, and misdirection tactics.

Little Ballista

This is a crossbow manufactured by the Gobnu Familia specifically for Pallums.

Though compact, it hits hard and features a bolt‑magazine system for easy rapid fire.

Its range is shorter than larger crossbows, but its power and ease of use suit Lili’s small frame.

Different bolt types can be loaded to vary power and distance, giving her tactical flexibility.

Skjoldur Walnut

Skjoldur Walnut is an upgraded, custom‑made version of the Little Ballista, ordered from the Gobnu Familia as Lili’s personal weapon.

Its power and range are significantly improved, though the recoil is stronger.

At Level 2, Lili can withstand the recoil without issue.

She takes out a loan to pay for it, and its price is a hefty 380,000 valis—an enormous investment for her.

Unbeknownst to Lili, Skjoldur Walnut uses ultra‑rare materials quietly supplied by Finn as a favor.

This is both a congratulatory gift for her leveling to 2 and a way of thanking her for her support during the Knossos battles.

Backpack

Lili’s iconic oversized backpack is more than a size larger than she is.

It carries potions, spare gear, food, tools, and collected loot, making it vital to the party’s survival and profit.

The standard model costs about 2,000 valis.

Its sheer size is part of her silhouette, reinforcing her image as the quintessential Dungeon supporter.

Backpack: Hermes Special

Later, Lili upgrades to a Hermes Special” backpack.

Despite the flashy name, it is actually designed by the Hermes Familia and crafted by Asfi, the city’s top magic item maker.

It is dramatically tougher and has far greater storage volume than her previous bag.

However, it also costs 49,800 valis—about 25 times the price of a normal pack—which hurts Lili’s thrifty heart.

Supporter Gloves

These are disposable supporter gloves used when handling monster corpses and hazardous materials.

They protect the wearer’s skin from strong acids and provide some resistance to status effects.

They are standard “dirty work” gear for supporters like Lili.

Given how often she deals with monster remains, they are an essential part of her kit.

Goliath Robe

The Goliath Robe is made from the “Black Goliath’s” drop item, its hardened skin, crafted by Welf.

It offers extreme defense, capable of blocking both physical and magical attacks from most middle and lower floor monsters.

However, while it blocks damage, it does not eliminate impact, so heavy blows can still injure the wearer through blunt trauma.

The robe is extremely heavy, but Lili’s Enshita Strength skill lets her move in it more easily than anyone else in the Familia.

Stink Bag (Morbul)

The “Stink Bag” is an item that emits a horrendous odor so strong that monsters avoid it.

Lili commissions it from Naaza Erisuis before the party begins exploring the middle floors, intending to reduce encounter rates.

Naaza experiments with combining surface materials and Dungeon materials, and the result is this spectacularly foul concoction.

When she tests it, the stench is so intense that she falls over, rolling around and desperately scraping her nose against the floor to get rid of it.

The Stink Bag proves useful not only for monster deterrence but also for interrogation, distraction, and escape.

It becomes one of Lili’s most flexible, if unpleasant, emergency tools.

Other Gear

Lili also uses dagger‑type magic swords in combat.

These one‑shot or limited‑use weapons provide bursts of elemental damage, useful for finishing blows or dealing with dangerous enemies from relative safety.

Within the narrative’s deeper lore, it is strongly implied that Lili is the reincarnation of Fianna, the legendary first captain of the Pallum “Fianna Knights,” a heroic order from about 3,000 years ago.

Fianna had a half‑brother named Deim, who is believed to be the past life of Finn Deimne.

This means that, in another age, Lili and Finn were brother and sister leading a heroic Pallum order.

Their present‑day affinity and intertwined fates, including Finn’s proposal, reflect this deep past connection.

Lyra from the Astraea Familia is also suggested to have been an underling of Fianna in that past life.

In the current main story, however, Lili and Lyra do not meaningfully interact.

In the original web novel version, Pallums are called “hobbits” rather than “Pallums.”

Lili also has a distinctive chuckling speech pattern with repeated “shishi”‑style laughter, making her feel more like a mischievous delinquent than in the published version.

Author Fujino Omori has stated that he initially intended Lili to serve as the “representative of characters without talent” and never level her up.

However, his editor argued that, given everything she had faced and achieved, it would be unnatural for her not to grow.

Re‑reading her arcs, Omori agreed and decided to let Lili level to 2.

This decision fits thematically with her resilience: she may lack raw combat genius, but through effort, experience, and heart, she still reaches heights most Pallums never do.

Her alias “Little Marshal” is coined at Denatus after the Faction War.

Hestia finds it endearing, thinking of how Bell’s early second name similarly reflected his growth and how far her Familia has come.

Through her journey from exploited child thief to one of Orario’s top strategists, Lili embodies the series’ core themes of found family, growth, and the quiet heroism of those who support from the shadows.
