A member of the After School Science Club (Science Club), named Eisaku Noguchi (voiced by Shinya Takahashi), who is a male student one year ahead of Rei Kiriyama. With naturally curly hair and a Kaiser mustache, his calm and easygoing personality often led even the existing club seniors to call him "senpai" or "club president" when he first joined. He has the gentle smile of a young Hideyo Noguchi, complete with glasses.
The Science Club was facing disbandment due to a lack of members, but after recruiting Rei Kiriyama, it became the After School Shogi Science Club. Eisaku Noguchi is kind and caring, understands Rei Kiriyama's situation as a working youth, and offers support not only in science matters but also whenever Rei Kiriyama faces difficulties, becoming a good confidant for him. Rei Kiriyama also looks up to Eisaku Noguchi as a beloved senior, relying on him even after entering university.
