During the third selection, he showed his prowess by scoring a point himself, but he was not chosen as a starter and showed anger and humiliation towards Isagi, who was the last to be selected. Ego chose him as one of the substitute members, and he was brought in to replace Otoya 15 minutes into the second half. After the England match, his salary was raised to match Isagi's at 150 million yen.
